    Redesigning even a small custom piece of plastic has a huge pipeline to get it designed, prototyped, final mold made, tooled, and built.

    True now, but in a few years, 3d printing will be filling this niche even nicer.

    Actually I just had a vision of the ED-209 from RoboCop standing outside someones door announcing:
    "Citizen! If you surrender your violent games and media, no one will be hurt!"
    After waiting an intolerable .05 seconds without a response, ED-209 proceeds to level the domicile.
    The game playing "perp" remains safe in the basement as no one has fixed the ED-209 "stair problem" yet...

    Who to? Other investors? What if they all sell at once?

    Also, if I start trading in Legos do I have to send a bag of bricks to the IRS every quarter? If so can I just go by weight? Do I have to give a fair mix including some of the more desirable blocks or can I just send a bunch of the 4x4 plantar penetrators that no sane person wants near their floor?
