when i read the headline, i was soooooo hoping this meant a controller you could throw when you get pissed off (i.e. mortal kombat) and it wouldn't break...
i imagine a long lost floating ship many years in the future carrying a band of genetically engineered augments that will be launched after a war breaking out on earth and.... you know the rest...
i thought we were out of the land mine business as well. but this administration has pulled us out of so many weapons treaties it makes your head spin. then again, maybe we're just sticking to our guns as far as history is concerned by manufacturing weapons and selling or giving them to other countries....
i agree, this article is a bit of a troll..."this pending format release/war is simply the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a long time."
while he makes some reasonable points, it seems the motivation that sparked this was frustration. just because its the "most ridiculous thing" hes seen in a long time (in his opinion) doesn't necessarily mean squat. look at all the other format wars such as beta/vhs and laserdisc/dvd...
to the people who say "i don't have anything to hide, so its ok with me", i say, this is another huge symptom of the government/certain people in the government wanting to take our rights away. theres something called the 4th amendment... some people keep saying its ok, but when are they gonna get that we are gonna have to stand up for our rights or they'll keep taking them away till there aren't any left.
it seems completely retarded to me that sony would release the ps3 with such MAJOR PROBLEM. i know m$ screwed up some things by rushing the 360 to market, but i doubt they were as bad as what this sounds like.
even if there is a big brother conspiracy, being misconceived is a matter of opinion. but the future will tell. with the current state of affairs, i don't think its difficult to see where this is headed, and also the potential for abuse...
how could they provide employee protection when they don't even provide customer protection?...

i didn't know there was such a thing
i wonder if it is able to detect activity in the dead zone....
