I am actually surprised by all this have people really not figured it out by now this same thing happened with Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Every release of Windows Microsoft sends out press releases talking about there new anti piracy measures then they scale them way back at release. There is a pattern here each time they scale it back the people go ok 30 days before lock out that's ok and it gets a little worse with each release and or service pack.
I for one hate the idea of rebates for class action law suites I mean really it's like sending someone a post card in the mail that reads
"sorry we screwed you here you can get some free stuff from us but us only so we still get targeted advertising since we know you all like our products anyway
PS SCREW YOU FOR NOT BENDING OVER FOR US WE ARE YOUR OVERLORDS!"
I think I might be in the minority here but I think this is a great idea and it will work but only if the students have the right parents because it is the parent's involvement that will make all the difference in this type of program. If the kids get to just sit around all day because this acts as nothing more then a babysitter to the parents the program will fail if the parents sit and work with the kids it will work great.
I am sorry but this whole thing is starting to make me sick the internet started as a DARPA project and since that's our tax dollars, when do I get to charge the phone companies and anyone else who wants to use my services. I say if they don't want it to be neutral fine pay every American and every person who contributed to tcp/ip the darpa project and every other project that built the network they are using!
