I personally hate all types of packaged media (DVD, HD-DVD, Blue HD-DVD...) and all broadcast protocols (DVB-C, DVB-S...)
I use my PC for everything from programming to entertainment so I hope a day well come where all media well be delivered as plain bits (streamed or not) so it would be easier for people to do whatever they want with it (store, copy, burn,...) of course some new approaches like DRM are moving in the other direction (complicating things rather than simplifying them).
Instead of just complaining about DRM someone should suggest an alternative method. Let's face it the industry want to protect their products from piracy but obviously DRM isn't the best way to do this. So are there any Alternatives?
Simple, when you get around to wanting to sue someone over it, you file your registration, which you can do at any time.
Of course if he didn't beat you to it.
Why isn't media created free/public domain unless its creator wants it protected?... ?
But it is.
If you don't attach a license with your work anyone can do anything with it without you being able to do anything about it.
"Complexity kills.. It sucks the life out of developers, it makes products difficult to plan, build and test, it introduces security challenges, and it causes end-user and administrator frustration."
Excellent thinking.
I can't wait to see how it's gonna be implemented (if it's going to)
let it be Master Chief head instead.

No matters what Microsoft do it'll always get beaten by slashdoters.

And how would you prove that it is an "original work" and you have "created it" if you didn't register it.

I think most of the Creative Commons Licenses aren't evil.
So this can't be hold against Microsoft. Or am I wrong about that, I guess we'll see.
I bet if stratjakt was talking about Microsoft it would be moded insightful.
I mean all you need to attract developers to use a framework is to convince them that using it is more fun and productive than using other frameworks.
Or this term doesn't apply if we're talking about Microsoft?!!
So you're suggesting Apple should move back to Springfield!
I can't wait to see how it's gonna be implemented (if it's going to)
Who moded that funny it's disgusting and should be removed!
This is a respected site not some trash community site!!
