If you read the article, you'll see the student suggest the guy would be dead. With all this school and college shootings, you can't ignore the flippant and ignorant remarks from students. They are just children and they can't control their mouths or their emotions.

How about bright orange traveling jumpsuits and slippers. All belongs must be checked in. And all passengers must have pre-screened background checks, finger printing, and DNA samples. And all Arabs must ride in the back in a special bomb proofed section.
If we just treat everyone like a criminal, then we don't have to waste time processing them.
And this would apply to all politicians and law enforcement personnel.

What's Jobs' motivation here? Motivation is important. Anyone who has bought an iTunes movie knows you can't burn it to a DVD - by demand of the movie industry. If this is really Jobs' intent at all, its a solution that makes iTunes movies burnable. Thus *happier* customers.
DRM is not Apple's invention.
Additionally, when you buy a DVD - you are buying the DVD, not the movie. Even though space shifting might be allowed, that doesnt mean that the distributors need to facilitate or make that ability available. Not to mention that space-shift as to be in the realm of Fair Use. Uploading it to the internet, or burning excessive copies is still a crime.
I dont know about else where, but here in CA Comcast has a monopoly on the wiring. Until another company can access either the cable or the phone lines Comcast isnt going anywhere. This the specific reason they can rape us with high prices. Satellite is an option, but the transmission has weather interference and limited coverage areas.
Additionally, prices for cable and DSL are going up, not down. Wireless cards are almost twice as much.
How is this a news item? All 4 of my computers updated automatically. NAtural as breathing. Reporting this is like reporting "The sun rose today for the nth time this year...."
