Right now I am pretty stable on Lexapro, haven't had a panic attack for a few weeks, except for this morning. I think it was because I drank two glasses of OJ. I haven't had OJ for months. Oh well, it has passed now, though it did shake me up a good bit.

Yup, the price for just an iPhone battery sounds pretty close, though maybe a few bucks higher than average. My battery that I had to replace was about $60 USD. The only thing about the iPhone deal is having to pay an additional $30 USD if you don't want to be stranded without a phone. Since most people will not want/be able to go without their phone, it is pretty fair to say that an iPhone battery is really $79 (bat) + $29 (loaner) + $6.95 s/h = $114.95, which is pretty expensive for a battery replacement IMO.

If the whole shebang, battery, shipping and loaner came to $79, that wouldn't be a bad deal. However, personally I am waiting a year to consider if I get an iPhone. I want to see how long the battery will last before it needs to be replaced. Also, I want to wait and see if the price comes down to a more consumer friendly price.

No, MS wants to find lower priced immigrants. There are only so many visa apps and companies fight for them. What is really sick, is that companies like MS hire outside legal counsel to find ways to disqualify American workers. I just recently read this in the news. Basically for a company to get H1-b applicants, they have to interview American workers and give the American workers an equal shot at the position. However, by using outside counsel that specializes in working around the system, many large companies can get away with not hiring American workers and then they turn around and say "there is a shortage of qualified American workers". Which is total BS.

There are many loop-holes companies like MS use. For example, say a position starts at $60,000. The American worker says they are looking for $65,000 (he/she is never told what the starting salary is). Instantly disqualified! Even if the American worker would have accepted the $60,000, it doesn't matter because the law doesn't say that companies need to at least try one round of negotiations.

Oh, and then if I didn't hit the "scroll area" just right, nothing would happen.

As far as Linux goes, I have a Toshiba laptop that I boot WinXP and Ubuntu on. The touchpad support is pretty crappy under Linux. The mouse moves way too fast. I tweaked every option I could find, set kernel module options, xorg.conf options, still no dice. A slight move of my finger and the mouse is halfway across the screen. Under WinXP, as I stated, if I get my finger in just the right area, it may or may not work, depending on the app.
