It has nothing to do with Netflix specifically. The article is sensationalist FUD. It's like saying Slashdot users are in danger of unknowingly picking up malware because someone found a javascript exploit.
When you're on the road with other drivers you are not managing just your own risk. You are putting others at risk as well. Yeah I'm taking a risk by leaving my house every day but I don't need some jackass blowing out a tire at 100mph while passing me on the highway and taking out my entire family.
It looks like they were trying to show that Scotty invented or at least had a hand in creating holodeck technology. I don't remember TNG ever discussing the origins of the holodeck. Besides, TOS used left over costumes from bad westerns and gladiator movies to move their plots along. Not much different from what the holodeck was used for.
In response to your question about the "Don't Talk to Cops" video: OK, but what did he mean?
He means, guilty or not, if you are under suspicion of a crime, the cops are NOT looking for evidence to exonerate you. They are looking for anything and everything that can be used to prove your guilt. Including twisting your words in such a way to make you sound as if you were lying or trying to hide something.
Sarah Palin was obviously not OK with a private citizen snooping on her private emails. However, do you think she IS OK with her provider giving her private emails to the NSA?
Because throwing popcorn is obviously an offense deserving of death.
Holy fuck there are a lot of heartless people on here today...
So I should have been reposting those "Bill Gates will give you $10,000" messages on Facebook!?! Damn!
Only if they used the same Hollywood set NASA used in 1969.
Roll the dice to see if I'm getting drunk...
They would have had to set the rig on bar stools instead of chairs and I don't think their budget would cover that.
As opposed to the paper versions...
Sadly my mod points expired...
Score one for ToS violations punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act! Throw the book at 'em I say!
Seriously, there has to be a better way to down mod articles that make it to the front page. The firehose just doesn't cut it.

Neither. That's why we write things in assembly.
They are not buying just the app. They are buying their brand and user base.

Darwin awards are usually won by those who don't learn from other's mistakes.
Nobody rides for free!

They are not really different things.

Flood the app store with thousands of shitty apps so no one can find the ones that are actually useful. I wonder how well that will work for them.
Summary of TFS: There is no spoon.
Yeah but that headline is too long and might get cut o
My wife is on her second husband so I guess she's on her way to becoming a husbandry geek.
Um... Lauren is a dude and I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about.
Damn. So close. Almost made it to the end without a typo!
