One decent example would be Oblivion - can be tweaked to increase the graphics details to match your available graphics power.

Sound quality is darned near unbeatable for a pair of cans that are normally ~$40 (though you can find it for ~$20 from time to time).

Fully optical computing (no OEOs) would rock, although how do you define a "clock" in the optical domain?
