I'm nearly certain the grandparent meant "germanism" in the sense of "from a Germanic language", as opposed to "from the modern German language".

Nonetheless, that is false — a quick etymology lookup reveals that it came into Old English from Late Latin buxis, itself from Greek pyxis from pyxos.

"Ox" [pl. "oxen"], on the other hand, comes from Old English supposedly through Proto-Germanic; similar forms are found throughout Germanic languages, c.f. Old Norse oxi, Old Frisian oxa, Middle Dutch osse, German Ochse, Gothic auhsa.

... Mexico => Portuguese? You've got to be kidding me. Venezuela and Colombia (see "Official languages" of infobox) are both majoritarily Spanish speaking regions, with some indigenous languages; Portuguese is not spoken frequently. In fact, in all of South America, only Brazil has a Portuguese majority.

... what about comments and description? Yes, the description is available in the torrent file ... though it may or may not be better than the description one would type in on an index website. As for comments, I rather appreciate being able to confirm the legitimacy of a torrent through user comments (especially for software) and be able to request information or help on minor problems from other users.

I see nothing about carajo meaning a ... whatever you call that part of the ship you mentioned in these sources; the Yahoo Spanish-English dictionary ("vulgarism prick, cock") and Spanish Wikipedia ("Vulgarmente al pene; carajo deriva de una de las denominaciones latinas del pene -junto a penis, falus, mentula etc. -: carassus.") agree that, as a vulgarism, it refers to the penis. "Vete al varajo!" is also mentioned as meaning "Go to hell!".

As for coño, according to this English-Spanish dictionary, it roughly equates the English vulgarism "cunt" which can refer to the vulva or vagina. It also translates "coño", as an interjection, to "Damn!", like you said. The Spanish Wikipedia redirects to vulva and the English Wikipedia describes "coño" as, most commonly, a Spanish idiomatic expression for the female genitalia. Then there's Taevin's comment, too.

Ignoring some of the comments concerning prices dropping that I skimmed... I can hardly play (that is, buy) as many new games as I'd like with them at $60 at release.
