Exactly, the only people that will be seriously affected by this, will be the legitimate users. It won't do diddly squat to pirate users, who will quickly install a patch and keep going.
Well, the RIAA feels that you don't have to load up your iPod. You can go outside and do something useful, like jump in a lake and drown yourself. It is their songs and they don't give a rat's ass about your iPod.
I agree in that commercial users should use BSD. GPL software is Free and should stay Free. Leaches are not welcome to use GPL software. Simple as that. If some leaches were using GPL software under the false impression that they can do as they want without contributing back to the community, then they should wizen up and leave. We don't need leaches.
Hmm, some quick calculations showed that if we plant all of North America with this weed exclusively, then we will get almost enough oil to sustain the current consumption. Maybe if we add all of Europe too...
Quick, bring the bulldozers so we can start plowing up all these pesky cities and farms that are cluttering up the place!
If a vendor wants me to sign a NDA I tell them straight out that a NDA simply means that a product is vapourware and therefore I'm not interested anymore and will go somewhere else thanks.
In much of North America, the moisture in the sky causes a white high altitude fog as soon as the sun goes down, so light or no light, you can't see much of anything anyway, even when you are in the middle of nowhere, of which there actually is quite a lot of around here - it's a big place. So don't blame the white night sky on all the street lights - take a drive out of the city and look up, chances are that you'll still see nothing.
The distant particle that crosses into the block hole will break entanglement when it is altered or destroyed, but nothing will happen to your particle, so you'll still know nothing. You won't even know that it is became disentangled since nothing will change on your side.
There really isn't any substance behind this rumour, only another rumour. Anyhoo, I hope it pans out since high end graphics is used a lot in the field I'm in and this will make Linux deployment much easier and possibly cheaper.
An hour??? Obviously your setup was wrong. The Mandriva update mechanism is the same idea as the Ubuntu one - updates are done from world-wide mirrors, so if it is configured right then it cannot be any better or worse than Ubuntu.

That just might drive another two or three Vista users to Linux.

We don't want to play with your ringaling...
With apologies to Chuck Berry.
You already have PTT mode Stateside. A mesh is just a more complicated version of the same thing.
PTT phones are already available. These provide simple point to point comms between handsets - walkie talkie mode. The Mesh is the logical next step.
I think 'poking them in the eye' would be a better analogy. Anyhoo, these kind of enabling technologies is required for Federal use.
One word: Samba
That is probably the largest project already under the GPLv3.

Canada and EU have privacy laws. So would this be an illegal patent?
Numerous communications satellites have been lost over the years. Others may be a secret alien monitoring network...

So when you put your desk phone on the cradle it is off and no-one can call you?

I think Broderbund has first dibs on that with their reflective visionary cauldron thing.
My guess is one is Exchange and the other is Active Directory.

Best Buy belongs to Future Shop, which explains it all...

Half of Mandriva is based in Brazil, so you don't like the Porras either?
France/Brazil actually, but Adam lives in Vancouver, eh!

Dumbass. The bombs didn't have triggers. Still a bad mistake though.
WTF would Linux or OSX do with Windows bug fixes?
