The rural folks don't spend all day wishing they had faster internet access and think there are issues allot more important than this.

I mean really, lets have the government - whose regulations are the reason we have these monopolizes to begin with - add even more rules to "protect" the internet.

And how do you think this is going to be enforced? By giving the government complete access to what you are doing online to make sure you are not "throttled."

Because people are not going to leave Spectrum/Grande/Comcast/whoever for a sub-adequate network.

They are trying to break into the home markets - they are not the current monopoly.

Due to local government regulations that even Google cannot overcome, we are not going to be getting more local wired internet companies - unless we lose those existing government regulations. What Verizion is doing is the market trying to correct against monopolies that the government enforces

I don't understand why people think that government will enforce net-neutrality in a way that actually benefits users. Any law that goes further than 2 sentences on this is just a new power grab. While ISPs might not want it, the way the government ends up creating these laws will make the regulation so complex, that you can be guaranteed that only the larger ISPs will be able to afford to implement them - further eliminating whatever little competition there is.

That said, I understand why they developers do it since most people don't want to pay currency for anything and get bombarded enough with ads to not be outraged when they get an app that has ads. It's the norm for allot of people.

  18. Capaldi had a chance to top him but he was given dog turds for scripts.

It was really disappointing. I was very excited when he was named Doctor. I then watched the first season but it was a struggle. Once the second series started I realized I was wasting my time watching something I didn't enjoy just because sole I felt I had to with as much time I had already invested in the show.

I went back and rewatched the Matt Smith episodes with my wife. His scripts had a good mix of fun and angst. Eventually I will re-watch the Tennant ones with her since she hasn't seen them but we are so backlogged on shows - and the fact that the new doctor really just took away all my enthusiasm - I don't know if I'll ever get around to it.

That said, I did enjoy watching the rifftrax showing of The Five Doctors at the theater.

I had no desire for the publicity, felt shame, and did not want others feeling responsible if something did happen to me. I also didn't want to possibly die in an accident and have everyone assume I had killed myself. Not the legacy I wanted for my kids.

Many years have now passed and there are many times where I feel numb to life but I am glad I am alive for my kids sake and even for my own.

Suicide should have a stigma. It is permanent. At the very least, there should be a 5 year pre-registration.
