You do realize it's ATI's fault their hardware support is bad, right? Linux developers can't make it any easier for ATI to make a good driver and API; they have the complete source of the OS at their disposal.
If ATI doesn't release good drivers and/or APIs, you get bad hardware support.
The Acid test uses actual web standards. Therefore, browsers that pass it conform to the web standards used in the test. Does that sense to you now? Can you understand how a browser passing the Acid test might represent some degree of conformance to WC3 standards?
I'm sorry, how did the upper class "get us into this mess" again? Judging by the link in your sig, I'm guessing you assume that those with money are the obvious cause (and yet solution to) all of the world's problems. I don't think you understand how bad inflation is for everyone. To say that it's good because it shafts the upper class, who already fund (in various ways) a huge portion of our government and economy, and then to cite your second reason as it makes "debt worth less" represents a gross misunderstanding of economy and capitalism.
If one is in debt, it is because they borrowed money. If they suddenly find themselves engulfed in debt, it is because they borrowed money on terms they could not afford. If those terms were misleading or dishonest, there are legal procedures for that. However, statistics and loan details show that the vast majority of those engulfed in debt are so because they did not:
Read the fine print
Consider if the amount being borrowed/service charges were too high for their budget
Actually intend to pay off the debt.
As someone who is in debt, middle class, and paying off a school loan, I too wish there was some relief. But I can easily look back and see where the majority of my debts came about simply from spending money I didn't have on things I didn't need. To say that I deserve relief from my debts, and furthermore that I should celebrate inflation, is utter nonsense.
Your parenthetical contained no end punctuation, and "source" ought to have been capitalized. I'm now invoking Godwin's law to stop future Grammar Nazis before this turns into the Fourth Reich.
Maybe the release just comes from being out of the heat of battle; your stress goes down, your adrenaline flow calms, heart rate decreases, you don't have to worry about dying anymore, because now you're dead, and there's nothing you can do about it until you respawn. At least, that's how it feels for me. I can't ever recall feeling anything metaphysical about watching my guys spatter the walls of DM-Rankin after some asshole with a Flak Cannon blows me apart.
I'm going to have to contend with your gaming point. In an RTS, a decent player can have an APM (actions per minute) from between 90-250, depending on the game. Granted, a good bit of mouse clicking is figured in there, but it's a whole hell of a lot of hotkeys. A super heavy keyboard would drive me nuts while I'm trying to order 200 zerglings to bite your medics.
Your ideas intrigue me and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter. Yeah, it is the webmasters problem to filter content. It's a balance though, because it can sometimes be in their interest to abuse a robots.txt...:(
Yeah, damn those other people and their stupid crazy-ass ideas. (PS newsflash, this just in: Ron Paul is about as Libertarian as Ronald Reagan.)

Sorry, forgot there were only 2 valid points of view in American politics: Republicrat and Democan. God forbid someone should seek to bring a little change into the system.
Microsoft is under no obligation whatsoever to provide you with cross-platform equally accessible with the same functionality everywhere. They are by no means a monopoly in the email market. If it makes you unhappy that MS is unwilling to be truly cross-platform, e-opinions, writing to MS, or personally blogging about it are all good means of reaction. Personally, I'm sick of seeing these non-stories. MS is not going to go out of their way to be friendly to other operating systems. Doesn't that make sense to you? The solution is to get away from MS, because they have no obligation or will to change.
News flash: a lot of us administrating *NIX environments don't use the GUI all the time (some not even at all). I will never put a GUI on a server (except a terminal-type server, of course), because GUIs are security risks. Convenient, yes. But still a risk all the same.
I didn't say completely oblivious. Also, you'd be surprised how different the SCO side of things might look from the inside, especially to those not as versed in the issue. When your livelihood depends on it, you tend to be in favor of your company's success.
Holy hell, they're employees at a tech industry, not genocidal anti-Semetic soldiers for a facist dictator. Somewhere, Mike Godwin is rolling around in his gra-- err, bed.
And if you think a receptionist, or even many engineers, are going to have a farking clue what abhorrent decisions the board of the company was involved in, you don't understand people (especially non-nerds), big companies, or reality very well. And to suggest that former or present SCO underlings are scum whose children deserve to go hungry for the sins of their fathers, in some epic divine retribution, is hateful, callous and unthinking.
Can we stay on topic for a change? This is important.

I'm picturing a banjo suddenly sprouting wings and a razor-sharp beak, soaring over the landscape and tweeting bluegrass licks. It's terrifying.

To quote the fantastic text adventure game Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, "You stay out of this. You're dead."
And, for the record, it's "it's", not "its".
*BANG BANG*

Err, you do know that insurance agents, claims adjusters, doctors, nurses, recorders, lawyers, et. al. work for companies as well, right?

Yes, because self-moderated tagging is never abused. Your first paragraph was pretty spot-on, though.
Perfectly said. Libertarian != libertarian by default
