I would agree, that certifications are a must. They show initiative, drive, and ability to learn. When I see a resume of someone with only tech experience, and no certs, I come to the same conclusion: No drive, no initiative and that = no skills that I want to hire. Anyone (most) can learn the skills for a job. It is another thing to see someone do it BEFORE they get the job that requires it.
If you want to get hired in a saturated job market, only your experience sets you apart from others. If you don't have that, you better have some certs, or get used to the "thanks for coming out" letters/speeches.
Well, it seems that more clueless people than we thought were gung-ho for community net. (Not just the slackers at Sasktel). Anyone who is being forced into going with community net, who doesn't see the problems inherit with giving a goverment company full control over the outside connection of their network, is just as clueless as Sasktel is as far as implimenting network strategies. I for one want to keep control of my outside connections, firewall logs, port forwarding, IPSEC tunnels, and internet access. Sasktel can't tie their own shoes without asking 3 people how, and starting up 3 change requests to deal with the problem. Sure, the high speed is nice, but I'd rather take the hit in bandwidth, than to have to deal with Sasktel everytime I want an outside port forwarded, or add a new IP on the network. Big brother control sucks, it always has, and it always will. Everyone who knows anything about networking, and is being roped into Community net, is fighting this, and hopefully our cries will not be ignored. If you can't handle managing your own internet connection, DON'T WORRY. The boys at Sasktel will screw it up even better than you can.
Are you serious? I'm sorry, but until you have actually PLAYED the game (and not just looked at some screen shots) your opinion on it isn't worth the time it took to type it out. SOF is a great game, I love playing it for hours, but I will admit that it is the most realistic killing game that I have ever played. The realism involved with shooting someone in the throat with a zoomed in sniper rifle and hearing them choke on their own blood can't be replicated in a dman screen shot. Sorry man...
When did Metallica start tarnishing their glory? Ummm, let's see.... Oh ya, I'd have to say the black album was a good start. Then Load... then Reload... and so on. What, you didn't notice? Yikes...
Once again, Microsoft is getting out of control with it's money hungry attitude. And worse yet, they are charging for outside connections. I think I'll be using Apache. It's free, and it works better anyway...

A 486DX266 with 32M will route a T1. Don't worry about your cable modem speed.
