I have netflix and have never seen the old version, this blog post is from october 2008, this seems like old news.
Also, the player works pretty nicely, I don't have any problems.
The article forgot to mention that viewstate is enabled, which adds some bloat to the page. Most of the time it's good to disable viewstate unless you really need it.
other than the obvious error of i=1 on there, there's also a syntax error, missing the closing parentheses in the document.write call.
again, this is slashdot and you cant get away with errors like this.
It looks like Spain is being very nice paying for half the initial costs of the investigation. Any ideas on what will happen if it is found that there is radioactive material in the soil from the US hydrogen bombs?

maybe now someone will port the java plugin to x86_64, i've been waiting a long time.
and for the people that say there is one out there:
blackdown's version crashes too frequently so it's not a viable alternative.
now all that's needed is hope for a flash plugin from macromedia...
i wonder if being near the top of the winners would better your chances of getting a job with google.
