    I agree completely (I realize I may have sounded harsh, but I was agreeing with you). It's been my opinion that the music score is the best part of Star Wars.

    It may just be me, but that whole Anakin/Amadala montage in EPII reminded me a *lot* of the "Something tells me I'm into something good" scene in The Naked Gun.

    I'll have to play that song while watching EPII to see if it works well...

  5. Re:Music Choice doesn't seem Right to Me. on Star Wars Trilogy MIT Musical · · Score: 1

    I think Williams is *heavily* influenced by Dvorak. You can hear a lot of Dvorak in Star Wars and some other films. Not to mention that the Jaws theme takes *directly* from Dvorak's 9th symphony in part (this is pretty blatant - like Vanilla Ice/Queen blatant).

    I have no problem with that though. Both are *fantastic* composers IMHO. Williams has done some good work I think. What artist isn't influenced by others? "I stand on the shoulders of giants" and all that...

    There's a lot of "friendly-fire" with NAT. And a half-decent firewall provides more defence than straight NAT either way. No, there is no good reason to require NAT anymore. It's a kludge. A bad one.

    What's truly amazing, however, is that students *aren't* punished severely for things such as rioting. After the Red Sox won the world series the local colleges has many riots with students flipping cars, fighting, etc. Very little happened to any of them. But *dare* to speak your mind and you get kicked out of school?

    I sorta hedged my bet there. I can't think of anytime in the near past when I've done it. I was thinking maybe sometime back when I was doing a lot of report queries (large complicated joins) I may have ordered things without a care to how they were in the SELECT.

    But if things were "auto" grouped it would be just one less clause to modify.

    Only, a "select distinct" won't give me the "count(*)" (which I want).

    select fielda, fieldb, fieldc, fieldd, count(*) from foo where status=1 group by fielda, fieldb, fieldc, field;

    Just a personal gripe I know, but it seems redundant to tell it what to group by when 99% of the time it's the same order as the fields are selected by...
