  1. Back in the USSR on Norway Outlaws iTunes · · Score: -1, Troll

That's right, folks, get ready for nTunes! With Apple out of the way, the Communist Republic of Norway can now provide DRM free music to its entire population. A pox on capitalist economic competition, that crap didn't work in the 70's and 80's, and it's...oh wait... (I'm not saying that DRM is good, I hate it. But if the governments of the world would get out of the damn way and consumers would stop being fussy crybabies and vote with the pocketbooks like they should, DRM would go away a LOT faster. Open source doesn't exist because the government made people use it. Open source works because smart people at competitive companies (IBM) found that, with the right model, it actually *is* better.)

  2. Legacy Debate on Mac OS X Versus Windows Vista, The Rematch · · Score: 1

When will this debate go the way of ISA and NuBus? It's almost as old, and just as pointless...

  3. Nobody wants to play games on Windows? on How 'Games for Windows' Will Change PC Gaming · · Score: 1

Here's a hint: It's *not* the packaging. I repeat. It's *not* the packaging. Say it with me. "It's *not* the packaging." (Oh, and if the game isn't actually fun, then graphics, MS Points, Buddy lists, X360 Interoperability, fan site kits, and realistic headshot blood isn't going to matter, but nobody seems to be listening so far...)

  4. Excellent! on Vista Startup Sound to be Mandatory? · · Score: 1

Cool...I guess the fact that they have the time to do stuff like this means they're finished with all those "big" things like bugs and security. Release must be just a few weeks away!

  5. Kamchatka! on Endgame- Google Maps RTS (beta) · · Score: 1

How do I get Kamchatka on Google maps! I have to have Kamchatka to r00lz the W0|2ld!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. But when to use it? on It's OK to keep AIMing · · Score: 1

The report is consistent with my experience as a university professor. The biggest problem I've seen is students who don't know when to use netspeak and when to be formal. I have, on more than one occasion, received this kind of email: "hey i need to talk to u because ur class is closed and i cant get in." Those emails do not receive responses. Why would I open up a space in my class for that??? It's a good study, but we need a few dozen more to really explore the issue.
