I don't see what your Star Wars analogy has to do with it. Consider:
There are at least a hundred verses in the Quran that call for or justify religious violence. Many other Islamic writings do the same.
There have been tens of thousands of religiously-motivated attacks by Muslims in the last ten years, greatly outnumbering religiously-motivated attacks by any other religious group.
The Quran is full of contradictions. This is so that Muslims can pick and choose what to present to outsiders. (There are similar things in the Bible too, so it's not only Islam that's guilty of this.)
There are at least a hundred Quranic verses extolling violence, not to mention many more Islamic writings. These are not abrogated by the token expressions of peacefulness.
We see the consequences today. If you cannot recognize religiously-motivated violence when it blows up in your face, then I guess you can continue to deny reality.
No, you have your head in the sand. Although there are more Christians than Muslims, the number of religiously-motivated violent attacks by Muslims today far outweighs religiously-motivated attacks by Christians.
Currently, there are religiously-motivated wars and attacks in Mali, Kenya, Nigeria. There are religiously-motivated bombings, suicide attacks, etc. in Iraq, Pakistan, Indonesia, Phillipines, Thailand. I could probably think of 100 examples in the last year if pressed.
On the Christian side, I can think of Brevik and the Oklahoma CIty bomber and maybe some attacks on abortion providers. Very small-scale indeed compared to Islamic religious violence.
The Koran, much like the Bible, are full of really good messages. They're also full of a lot of garbage.
Yes, absolutely. However, the garbage in the Quran is unfortunately peddled by a large number of religious authorities. Islam is structured in such a way that an observant Muslim is required to dedicate himself (it's always "him") to religious warfare and must be prepared to commit violence to expand Islam.
You can ask any Islamic scholar about this. They'll either confirm it or dissemble, but the response will be obvious.
No, you have your head in the sand. Read the Qu'ran sometime and some of the other Islamic writings. They demand that Muslims emulate Mohammed, and they go into great excited detail about how Mohammed massacred people who mocked him. See for example Sahi Bukhari:Volume 5, Book 59, Number 443 which describes a massacre in great and gory detail.
No, not at all. But study the Qu'ran. It justifies (in fact, demands) violence to convert non-believers to Islam.
Just because all religions are bad doesn't mean some religions aren't worse than others. We see a lot more religiously-motivated violence from Muslims than from other religious groups; that's just a fact.
Islam is a colonialist ideology whose goal is world domination. This is plainly stated in its writings.
The Bullshit Statistics Association reports that not only to 57% of PC users pirate software, but that software piracy rate among Somali pirates is actually lower than average.
"This epidemic of out-pirating the pirates causes us great concern," said BSA's chairman Slammem N. Jale. "But it's not too late. We have examples of rehabilitated pirates."
"Aaaarggh!", roared Cap'n Bluebeard. "Me mateys and I used ta blow each other ta smithereens with an illegal copy of Mine Sweeper. But we've seen the light and sent our booty ta Microsoft, aargh. What good does gold do ya when yer conscience weight upon ya like a two-ton anchor?"
Jale concludes: "Send us all your money, and you can sleep easy."
Islam, specifically, is the most evil of the widely-spread religions. Islam, specifically, encourages believers to make war on non-believers until they are Muslims or until they are dead.
It's politically-correct and even true to say that all religion is a problem. But just as some diseases are much worse than others, some religions are much worse than others, and Islam needs to be confronted before it can complete its fascist program of world domination.
I use randomly-generated passwords (generated by reading/dev/random) that are at least 16 characters wrong. I restrict the character set to [A-Za-z0-9] which is a touch under 6 bits per characters, so I have about 95 bits of/dev/random-quality entropy.
The passwords are stored in a file encrypted with a long passphrase. The long passphrase is probably the weak link, but by not reusing passwords across different websites and using randomly-generated ones, I'm fairly well-protected if one of the sites I visit has its password file stolen.
This is such a stupendously dangerous idea, bound to cause untold carnage, that we really need a Ralph Nader to start some class-action lawsuits so the idiots who come up with ideas like "in-car infotainment systems" can be driven to bankruptcy.
Anyone who stores anything on cloud storage without first encrypting it with AES or stronger encryption and a key generated with a secure random number generator is pretty naive.
What is "objectionable"? I have kids and I don't really have a problem with them seeing pictures of naked people or even people having sex as long as it's not degrading or exploitative. On the other hand, I find much of the content on public TV (violent shows, for example) quite objectionable.
I think parents should decide for themselves what is "objectionable" and what isn't.
I know in Canada any goods sold must be of merchantable quality - which means they must work.
No, that's not necessarily true. There is no law in Canada requiring sellers to accept returns. Some provinces state that an implied warranty applies to all sales, but even this can be waived if the seller and buyer agree to do so. In case an implied warranty is breached, the buyer may need to take legal action to recover part or all of the purchase price.

What is it you're failing to grasp?

Judaism prohibits eating pork. I don't know whether or not it would prohibit washing with it (unless you like eating soap.)
I don't believe they wanted to apply their standards to people who don't want them. Do you have evidence to the contrary?
Your superstition guarantees you paradise if you obey, so nothing you to other than religious obedience matters
Actually, that is not the case for Judaism. (I'm a lapsed Jew... atheist, but I know a thing or two about Judaism.)
In Judaism, belief isn't particularly important. It's the way you act towards others that counts.
Mohammed, the founder of Islam, was a pedophile. And Muslims are supposed to emulate Mohammed.
All religions have bad apples. Islam is rotten to the core because its very founder was a bad apple.
Islam, specifically, is the most evil of the widely-spread religions. Islam, specifically, encourages believers to make war on non-believers until they are Muslims or until they are dead.

16 characters wrong. long, of course. *sigh*

Anonymous are loud-mouthed vandals and computer criminals. I give a big cheer whenever law-enforcement officials catch some of them.
They give hackers a bad name.

Why was parent modded "Flamebait"? Seems pretty accurate to me.

It's worse than that. Religion is the only communicable mental illness I know of.
The Quran itself is sexist and is the underlying basis for much anti-women discrimination. See these examples.
Of course it is. Stop making excuses.

PPP over SSH is a bad idea. In general, running TCP over TCP leads to nasty timing problems.
OpenVPN is free, easier to set up than PPP-over-SSH and doesn't have the TCP-over-TCP timing problems.
