  1. Re:A cons. is just a liberal that has been spammed on Two Spammers Murdered in New Jersey · · Score: 1

That's ridiculous to say. Spammers are humans. Just because you don't like one's actions, that doesn't make them any less human then you. No human deserves to die for being annoying (or stealing, if you want to put it that way).

  2. We didn't stand a chance ... on Kasparov Beats the World · · Score: 2

    For several reasons.

First, most of "The World" is not sophisticated enough to be able to see enough moves ahead to be able to make the right choice, but rather, the most obvious one.

Second, Irina Krush, who was selected for most of the moves, is not a *great* player. If she was a man, she would probably only be a strong master, or maybe an international master. I believe Kasparov can beat five grandmasters simultaniously (walking from one board to the next each move).

My brother who is a master (Yaacov Norowitz, look him up at http://www.uschess.org if you're interested), can beat Irina about %50 of the time in speed chess. Of course speed chess is different from regular chess, but it gives you an idea.

Women are not worse in chess than men, it's just that there are much more serious chess players who are men than women.

    5) Studies among teenagers have shown that those who smoke marijuana are up to 104 times more likely to try and become addicted to other, more dangerous drugs, than those who have not tried.

What makes you think marijuana was the cause of this? If marijuana was non-existant, there's a good chance they would have went directly to using the more dangerous drugs.

    7) Marijuana is addictive. While not everyone who uses becomes an addict, there are many who seek it out compulsively. In 1995 165,000 people entered drug treatment programs to seek help for marijuana abuse.

Marijuana is not physically addictive (your body does not depend on it). Like anything else that makes you feel good though, it can potentially be psychologically addictive.
