    That's where flash comes in. It works on all browsers the same way, and I can compile an offline desktop app from, pretty much, the same code if the users request it.

    I suppose in essence, what I am saying is that browsers (or any software) that doesn't auto-update is effectively competing with the other versions of itself.

    I suspect the auto-updates on chrome are actually helping to increase the user base.

    The letters F and T appear together because it is phonetic in order to write the name the way it sounds. There are no rules in English about how foreign names should be spelled.

    I know, but you have to start the message with something that both parties would recognise, use that to establish a common understanding (we understand prime numbers, you obviously do since you picked up on this, now we both understand that ooooo represents the concept of 5 things and using that knowledge to then try and convey more information about how we understand the world (starting with things like o+o=oo oo+o=ooo oo+oo=oooo oxo=o oxoo=oo ooxoo=oooo and so on which established new symbols and from there on start defining more complex symbols.

    Floats can be used for layouts. It also means that the display order doesn't always have to be the same as the order in the HTML (useful for accessibility when you want the menu to be first in the HTML so that readers can see it first, but you want the visual design to have the menu on the right).

    Remind me to never hire you for a project. You sound like you are a nightmare to work with. I suspect you have never worked on a real site that needs to be used by a wide range of people across a wide range of circumstances. Blind people, colour blind people and people with upper body problems have to be able to pay online for their council tax, apply for planning permission etc.... Standards are vitally important for that.

    If you actually want a table of data, then use the table tag. It's not deprecated, just assigned to be used for tables. If you are doing layout use divs or spans with floats and clears.

    That's fine but you would still need a way to represent first order logic without resorting to symbols. The lowest common denominator would have to be dots or marks representing numbers where the number of dots or marks is equivalent to the number of things represented. E.G. "oo ooo ooooo ooooooo ooooooooooo" etc ... (The editor wouldn't allow me to use so many full stops).
