  1. SLI on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 1

SLI will let you have 4 monitors. All digital. All at dual-link resolutions.

  2. Thanks on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 1

Yeah, the idea is to have everything digital. Then pump up the monitor count and resolutions. I think I saw that Gate's office has three monitors. Begging for that setup.

  3. Ad ons aren't enough. on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 1

We need to get rid of the variable length encoding. The very basis of x86 is a running joke for anyone who is clued.

  4. Dual link? Dual monitor? on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 1

Is that gonna happen? Dual link gives you the huge resolutions. Dual monitors is even better.

  5. Well go Intel then. on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 1

I'm all for open source everything. Intel put a huge amount of nerd favor behind them. I think they still largely lack DVI though. That's my biggest concern. And dual link is likely completely out of the question.

  6. Yeah, Intel did that. on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 1

Big deal. We live in a corporate world. Deal with it. And Intel, the largest of them, was the one that got you what you wanted!

Doesn't it matter that Intel's graphics are lame?

  7. World beyond x86 on ATI's Stream Computing on the Way · · Score: 2, Insightful

So sick of x86. Look at all the cool stuff the graphics card makers are coming up with. Intel needs to buy NVidia to get real innovation done. I'm sure they have cool stuff cooking up, though. Let's get engineers going and let's get innovating!

That's nice. With brain implants we could learn this much in a day. Eventually, a few nanoseconds. The singularity means this guy will be old news quick. Too bad.

  9. Re:How about a transhumanist party? on Swedish Voters Keelhaul Pirate Party · · Score: 1

Well, if all goes well, you pretty much have a god who can overpower the entire collection of humanity. So, that's not very democratic. But I would imagine a transhumanist party supporting a lot of neuroscience research, and relaxing restrictions such as animal cruelty. You can go either the state route or private money. People will give if they know there won't be restrictions.

  15. Please make the most important division on China Seizes 13 Million Pirated Discs · · Score: 2, Insightful

Pirating for money is a far different thing than copying for free. That includes Pirate Bay, as they seem to have ads on their site. I have a real problem with people copying music/games/etc and selling it. If they choose to put it up for free--I have a lot less of a problem with that.
