    Almost certain? Given that neatly all integrated circuits are built in either China or Taiwan? I bet the CIA's computers run on Chinese hardware too.

    Factor in the cost of building and operating the nuclear power station too, not just the fuel. Still looks pretty good, actually. How many of these to we need to power the US?

    Yes, but now you're talking about energy creation, not energy extraction. Just how much energy does it take to breed thorium into U232, and what does that do to the overall equation, energy in vs. energy out?

    Nuclear power and fossil fuels are so fabulous because you only need to expend the energy necessary to go dig them up to be able to use them. As soon as you start talking about creating nuclear fuel, you suddenly have the same problems you have with wind, solar, and biodeisel. That is, once you factor in the cost in energy associated with synthesizing them, the relative benefit takes a nosedive.

    World supply of Uranium 235 has about peaked as well. It's not exactly a long-term solution.

    Book on CD + ipod == ebook reader. It even (gasp) reads the book to you so you don't have to squint at an LCD held up to your face while you're trying to get around. So advanced, so sophisticated, so high tech!

    Oh, and I should add, I don't think that particular blurb is compliant. It needs to contain the word "genuine" in there somewhere, and I don't believe Vista has quite earned it's circle-R yet. The ® should be on Windows. Lenovo recommends Genuine Microsoft Windows® Vista Business.

    I was part of the committee to make sure the "Lenovo recommends" blurbs were included on every page. As you might imagine, it's done for the discount, nothing more.

    I feel confident that my search history would show that I am an intelligent well-adjusted person.

    Really, this database surprised the hell out of me. Even the most normal-seeming people have something really strange going on in their lives. I feel like kind of a dull person, actually.

    And it's amazing how few people know how to use a search engine effectively or spell. So many people are typing questions in full sentences like AOL search is an oracle or something.

    Incidentally, if you want to find the most interesting results, search on the keyword "why." It seems that people who ask "why" questions are the least intelligent, which makes a bit of sense actually.
