3G prices? I don't know what 3G prices would have to do with how well an operating system works, especially on a tablet. Also, going to your settings and setting "Data while roaming" to 'no' is a good start.

Does that 3-12 years comment mean DVDs or DVD-Rs? I have yet to have a DVD become 'unreadable', so that 3 year mark seems a bit low. . . . DVD-Rs on the otherhand. . . .

  10. Lightcraft Launcher on What's the Coolest Thing You've Ever Built? · · Score: 1

I was part of a project in school to build an automated launcher for my professor's Lightcraft (It's a cone shaped aircraft that uses a laser as a propellant. Google it to see how it works. Pretty interesting). Anyway, I built a tachometer with an IR LED and a photodiode, using a microcontroller for the logic. It was pretty elegant. Anyway, when you say it like this: "I built a launchpad for a laser spaceship", it sounds much more interesting.

That sort of reasoning is exactly what is leading our country down the path to Big Brother. It doesn't amount to much NOW, but in the end it amounts to much, much more. The politicians won't fix something that's broken until the public realizes it's broken (The DMCA, the Hurricane Katrina situation, The Patriot Act and many more).

I am certainly not the type to view the big corporations or the government as an evil, but people tend to let little things slide for far too long in this day and age.
