He's not dead. He's frozen. And as soon as we find a cure for cancer, we're gonna thaw out the Duke, and he's gonna be pretty pissed off. You know why? Have you ever taken a cold shower? Well, multiply that by fifteen million times, that's how pissed off the Duke's gonna be. I'm gonna get the Duke, and John Cassavetes, and Lee Marvin, and Sam Peckinpah, and a case of whiskey, and drive down to Texas...
Really? I never would have guessed. I thought the joke was taking stereotypical male complaints about stereotypical female behaviour while road travelling and finding the space travel equivalent. But then again, I am fairly familiar with face-value humour.
FTA : A 5-mbps DSL connection from one provider, Shaw, costs Can$44, or about US$40 per month.
I am currently connected through Shaw. I am posting this right now through Shaw. And seeing as Shaw primarily provides cable TV, cable digital phone service, and cable Internet service with cable modems, I find it odd that they would be offering DSL services of any kind. Furthermore, the price is only $44/mo if you rent your modem. Buy it, and you're only paying $39/mo. And for $10/mo more, you can go to a 10Mb plan, 100GB throughput a month.
That's democracy in action. If enough people agree that some things are right and some things are wrong, then laws reflecting that fall into place, and that's democracy. If enough people think that copying CDs is okay, then it is. If a few privileged people don't agree, but most of everyone else does, then the majority should still rule.
Unfortunately, the xxAA's tactics of using their capital to use the courts as their own police force are leading society from democracy gradually towards corporatism. But if the teenagers can get it through their heads and stick to their guns, maybe they will not only keep their rights, but gain back those which have already been taken away.
The first effort, virgin sacrifices, had no effect. Being scientists, they were in great supply though.
But everyone looked at me like I had two heads.
Why don't you just shut up and sing the song, pal...

Bryan Singer is apparently filming his next movie sequel, "Supergirl Returns".
Up, up, and away!

Perhaps they consider Shuttleworth to be more Shuttle-worthy.

Thank you. Actually, the Boston Tea Party came to mind while I was writing that.
