  1. Re:Star Trek linked to pedophilia? on Star Trek PhD Thesis Wins Academic Prize · · Score: -1, Troll

It shouldn't surprise anyone. Trekkie = geek. Geek = weak, spineless coward = pedophile.

One more good reason to beat the crap out of them until their noses bleed for a month.

Show no mercy towards nerds: they deserve none. They're mediocre, they're losers, their lack of social skills parallels their lack of skills in any area. Their "pursuit of intellectual interest" is only a façade, since they do not possess the intelligence to do anything worthwhile, only a perception of it.

The image of the "geek genius" is a media-spawned myth which should have died a natural death by now. It is clear to anyone that a geek is simply a sub-par excuse for a human being with an annoying complex of superiority he can't be cured of.

This however doesn't change their fate: they are derided, publicly humilated and beaten. As they should be. Leave them to their dreams of revenge, concocted between one garbage bag and the other.

How many people do you think became engineers or scientists thanks to watching Star Trek as children?

You mean how many people in the US. The world is bigger, you know, and a good lot of scientists and engineers around never watched Star Trek as kids.

Better: how many incompetent geeks thought they could become engineers or scientists because they watched Star Trek as kids and then dropped out because they were too stupid?

Anyone who gets their idea of what being a scientist or an engineer from Star Trek is as sad and deluded as someone who thinks joining the Marines would be cool because he watched Major Dad. The difference is that the Marines weed out losers faster.

Your morals, ideals, and standards are not the same as everyone else's. Get over yourself, and learn to realize that your point of view is not the end-all-be-all of existence and truth.

This is Slashdot here, home of the nerds. They fully believe that their point of view is the end-all-be-all of existence and truth. They believe themselves superior to anyone else. They think of themselves as of some "élite".

Until some bigger guy comes along and beats the crap out of them.

I admit to being only above average, because "chasing down nerds and beating them" wasn't considered a sport. And rightly so, it's more of a pastime.

More likely he's just another nerd who enrolled thinking he'd do great at University and then found out that, like all nerds, he was not so bright after all. So he dropped out and he's now flipping burgers, hauling trash or cleaning toilets. And when he looks upon the people who made it he still thinks "I'm better than them because... BECAUSE!" and the thing that burns him worse than anything is that those very people are the same who in high school excelled in sports, were popular, and invariably stuck his head into the toilet or worse.

Who needs toilets when there's plenty of nerds' faces to shit on?

Seriously, there's nothing like shitting on a geek's face. You've got to beat them out some before, but that's what they're for.
