wikipedia doesn't need books because hosting books is not its purpose. however it needs lots of multimedia contents to illustrate its articles, and most importantly, pictures.
there are many excellent historical pictures that are still copyrighted. for example i find it sad that there are no pictures associated to the pulitzer prize article, for obvious reasons.
i think that getting the copyright of a good archive of well-known pictures would be a great enhancement to wikipedia
There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.
Are there any reliable numbers about linux adoption on the desktop ? the most recent i've seen are from 2004 and place linux at under 3% of the desktop market (the numbers from w3.org don't count because they are biased towards web developers).
that would be interesting, but i've not seen any institute interested in analysing the desktop OS trends.

Actually, the Sierra of today is really different from the sierra of the past, who published so many great games, due to reorganisations. Wikipedia can tell you more about this.
the most important thing is to try to install xp sp2 before the first network connection. or else, sasser and his friends will be there in no time (usually even before you have finished to download the sp2, let alone installed it)
The real problem is not that Hussein Massawi wants to eliminate americans, it is that Hussein Massawi actually has followers. This could change really quickly with a change of american policy in the middle-east.
What about the Arctic Monkeys, who've had the best-selling debut album release in UK history (yes, even better than the beatles), just because of the Internet hype ?

I see a little bias there
i find it sad that most of the big companies (yes, even google) are complying, just because china is such a huge potential market.
especially for news agencies, what a better way to defend freedom of press than to comply with these regulations !

Here are the only details we know about the Broadway processor : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadway_(microproces sor)
This should actually read "petite échelle" and "grande échelle"
we'll be able to clean up the internet and its tubes !
This is just war propaganda.
