  1. I'd play... on The Last Games You'd Play? · · Score: 1

...Final Fantasy IX. Best game ever, in my opinion. Don't let the bad people of the world tell you that VII was better; those people are wrong.

  2. It's the opposite, in my opinion on McAfee Blames Open Source for Botnets · · Score: 1

Crackers will find vulnerabilities in software no matter what. In an open source application, there's a better chance of someone fixing the flaw faster. In a closed source application, you have to wait for the (usually extrememly slow) corproation who maintains the app to fix the flaw.

  3. It's hard to believe... on Inside the Google-Plex · · Score: 0, Offtopic

...that a single search engine runs on hundreds of servers. What do they need all of those machines for?

  4. CD's aren't going anywhere on Is the Physical CD Still A Viable Market? · · Score: 1

Just because the media consistently talks about iPod's, etc, doesn't mean everyone is using them. CD's (or any form of physical music storage) won't be going anywhere for a while.

  5. Movies vs. Games on PSP To Increase U.S. Lead Over DS · · Score: 1

I think at this point it's unfair to compare the PSP and DS at all, because the DS is a games system and the PSP is a movies system. Think about it: many major movies now appear on the PSP at their time of release, and most of its games are just PS1 (or 2, if you count Liberty City Stories) rehashes. The DS, on the other hand, focuses solely on gaming, and IMHO, it does that well.

  6. Every version since 3.0? on Microsoft Responds to WMF Vulnerability · · Score: 5, Insightful

That's quite a long time to have a flaw in your OS. Maybe they should focus more on security rather than a fancy new AeroGlass interface.

  7. Parents should monitor their kids, not politicians on Anti-Gaming Legislation in Florida Moves Forward · · Score: 1

I think parents should take responsibility for what their kids are doing, rather than have lawmakers do it for them. If they're so worried about their kids going on a killing spree after playing GTA, then don't buy the game. If they know what their children are playing and the kids are mature enough to handle it, that's fine too. We really don't need the government getting involved in entertainment.

  8. You know... on Run Linux as a Windows Screensaver · · Score: 1

I've seen screen-savers that are essentially small games. You can use your mouse and keyboard to interact with a screen-saver. I'm guessing you would use Esc to exit.
