Earthlink
About four and five years ago, the FBI wanted access to Earthlink's system. They were trying to install Carnivore, and Earthlink said no to this on the basis of system integrety and users' privacy rights. Eventually, Earthlink lost out, but they definitely tried to hold the feds out, even when the FBI came a few days after the terrorist attacks.

Re:Good luck...
There's a *huge* difference between a 75 Caddy & an 85 Caddy.
Except that I had a 1980 Fleetwood. Only five years difference. Mine didn't have fancy computer, either. Just finiky control circuits and TONS of wiring. :-/
I have a 79 Coupe DeVille, and there's no airshock suspension
Really? I thought that it became standard on all Caddies during the 70's. In fact, this article suggests that air suspension was used in the Cadillac Eldardo in the late '50s! (Though this link suggests that they abandoned it at the time.) Oh well, guess you learn something new every day. :-) -
Like Uri Geller?.
YOu mean lawsuits like those filed by psychic (or is it psycho?) crackpot Uri Geller?
He has sued (and lost) book publishers http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/encyclopedia/U/Ur /Uri_Geller.htm and Nintendo http://www.100megsfree4.com/farshores/ngeller.htm among others.
For years, one of Geller's favorite pastimes has been suing crackpot debunker the Amazing Randi http://www.randi.org/

Re:Afghanistan's Tesla? (Biography information)
I don't know where you were looking but there's actually quite a bit of information on him and his inventions. I was really into Tesla when I was younger (and still am for that matter) and as a result have done a few biographies/reports on him. One of the most interesting reads is his autobiography, which is available online at this place as well as a few others. Amazon also lists quite a few books and videos. There's a lot of wierd things surrounding his life and inventions, such as the FBI confiscating his papers after he died, reports of an electric car he mad that ran off a mysterious black box at up to 70mph, and numerous claims purporting him to have come from Atlantis and/or outer space.

Saddam Hussein Walks Out On Stage Right When The Script Demanded It
> FLASHBACK: U.S. Rep. Ray LaHood predicted imminent Saddam capture 10 days ago: A member of The Pantagraph editorial board -- not really expecting an answer -- asked LaHood for more details, saying, Do you know something we don't?
Yes I do, replied LaHood.> FLASHBACK: Saddam Key in Early CIA Plot: Their gopher boy all along.

Re:Slashdot Effect zapped!By using Google Power!
Searching for "Allan Snyder" found plenty of other links. Like this one. I had no problems accessing the NYT article, that link you posted seems chopped off.
Prof Snyder certainly doesn't seem to be a flake. I almost expected his "thinking cap" to be another $cientology E-meter or an Orgone box. Now, can we use it to create "Focused" individuals? (Vernor Vinge, A Deepness in the Sky.)

Re:It won't :)
Do your research before you post idiot.
CraftA Project Silverbug
CraftB
The Nazis had project Flugelrad and Wing Wheel, the British had Project Y, Canada had Y-2, and the USA had Silverbug.
Do your research on these projects to find out more information. We have had saucer shaped craft for a while, since the 1940s, around the same time the Roswell situation happeend.
If you want .gov links you'll search for them yourself, consider the fact that these projects were classified, finding detailed information about these projects from the government may not be easy as we cannot even find out how the stealth bomber works.

Chevrolet Trailblazer: Four or eight cylinders
Ummm.....GM has done this before... in 1981 Cadillacs. The system got mixed reviews. Some people said it worked great, some said it was nothing but trouble (getting stuck in V8 mode was one problem, IIRC). They scrapped it after MY 1984, presumably in favor of 4 cylinders.

All sorts of information you can find on the web
From the various alien races and classes page:
EPSILON ERIDANI
The Epsilon Eridani originate from the star 82 Eridani, or commonly known as Epsilon Eridani. The average size of a typical Epsilon Eridani is 7 to 7 and a half feet tall. They have wrinkled and plated skin, very crocodile-like. They have long arms and large hands with three large fingers on the ends. They also have large mouths and very large ears. The Epsilon Eridani are primarily 3rd Density beings. Although, for 3rd Density beings, they are extremely technologically advanced.
Also note that Epsilon Eridani is on a trade route linked to Zeta Reticuli on the Gray's star map. The star map was drawn in 1964 under hypnosis. So those recent "planets reports" are very redundant news. ;-) -
