TCPA
As businesses stake their very existence on the Internet, PCs, PDAs, and other key computing platforms, the trustworthiness of these platforms has become a vital concern.
Why is that? Should I just take their word for it? Is my car being trusted by the interstate when I take it for a spin? Why must we add this layer?

Sprint PCS Vision
My Sprint PCS Vision internet access even goes as far as to recompress JPEGs. The result is not only smaller, but much worse quality. For instance, Google's logo comes up with a gray background instead of white. Blah. If the founding fathers didn't originally add it to the web, why add it now? Just kidding, but really.

Re:been done before?
There was an episode of Alley McBeal where that funny lawyer (John) used a clicker instead of saying voicing his objection.
Of course, that has nothing to do with bats. But what's interesting is that that bats can "see" fish just under the service of the water. -
Get Off Me!
They're nickel-and-dime-ing the consumer to death, and no one will do anything about it. What, do they think we're made of money? The surcharges and the "Artist" tax for all CDR related equipment has to stop. When will people take notice? (fp)

Re:No Linux - but they are trying hard
SETI@home took the time to port (or just recompile) their client very as many type of platforms as possible. So as much as I'd like to be able to delve into the source, it's nice to see the support for as many systems as they have.

So, he's a hit man...
Why can he do something about those stock prices? Lashing out at Dell and offering "amnesty" to IBM users to switch is all well and good, but none of this fixes what's broken at Sun. Where's the plan of action, man?

Not sure...
I kind of like my science fiction with a high threshold on geek plots, and a low threshold on substance...but that's just me. If I wanted substance, I'd read a non-scifi book. Still, I can see how people would be interested in it.
