You miss the point - tolerance (OT)
Why is the only prejudice it's PC to have is anti-Christian prejudice?
Oh, get real. It's quite PC to be prejudiced against:- Development of any kind.
- Business and capitalism in general.
- Western literature and civilization in general ("only dead white males").
- Science and the scientific method (by proponents of "other ways of knowing").
"I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature."
- Thomas Jefferson

Fresco's got threading.
Plus CORBA, and a host of other modern concepts. It mostly lacks extensive documentation and users. Find intro at Fresco page of Gary's Encyclopedia.

Please look at Fresco; it needs support.Last fall I investigated Fresco and wrote a little program with it. It has what looks to my inexperienced, but well-read understanding, the most modern set of features of any GUI library. (Multi-platform (NT & Unix now), C++, Great Tex-style layout, good signaling, CORBA, structured-graphics (some 3D support) and editing, X11-style license, more.)
The Berlin project is said to be incorporating many of its concepts
Unfortunately, it's documentation, while very good is not extensive, there is no printing support, and it is said to have fewer widgets than some other libraries. It has only a few significant users and the current maintainter is not actively developing it.
Give it a try. I think you'll be quite impressed by one of its several demos in which can make a copy of a drawing editor with another copy and work its buttons, etc, after rotating the whole copy.
I hope someone can be found to keep it alive, improve its documentation, and help popularize it.
Find an intro page with much more info about it at Fresco page of Gary's Encyclopedia

Explaination - They ARE question marks.I looked at the file. Those aren't M$ turds; they're actually ASCII question marks. Katz or
/. only knows how that happend.BTW, If you want detailed explainations of the M$ character set situation, find some links to same under "Character sets" at Character sets section of Gary's Encyclopedia
In brief, M$ has gotten their character set made an international standard, but no page-authoring software or page authors I've seen yet bother to use the M$ standard name in the page header. Even if they did, Netscape probably has not equiped its browsers to deal with it.

Magic Touch home page mentions Linux
Magic Touch (yes, believe it or not, they put a space between the words -- must not be programmers or Germans) which says "Introducing at Comdex: Magic Touch USB version and Linux version." on the home page.

If you're curious about Fresco...
I tried Fresco (just before the current release) last October. There's still a few people working on it and an low-activity mailing list. It's a good thing, but there's not much support or documentation other than a fine Tutorial and a big Reference manual.
I created a page with quite alot of stuff about it, including some hints on getting started.
