Just in case a friend needs it : Alcoholics Anonymous.

Re:Nuclear
Hmm... I drink, but I've never had a problem with "getting drunk off my ass" and worrying about getting pulled over and getting tickets and fines. You may want to consult with a professional in the field of alcoholism or check in with your local AA.

No, it isn't.
You're not talking about your risk. You're talking about your risk and mine -- I'm on the road too.
I don't care what risks you take with your life.
But if you drink before you get in a car and drive on a road where I am, you are taking a risk with my life. How about this: I find you in the streets one night and point a revolver at you. Then I shout "Russian Roulette, let's see if you're it!"
Sounds fun?
Do you think I would be f**ing justified in doing that????
Don't take a risk with my life without involving me in the decision process, you jerk.Yes, I needed to vent that. Seriously, there is no justification for driving after you had alcohol. You know why? Because there is no obligation to drink. Ever.
Someone justifying driving after drinking upsets me a lot more than someone who drives after drinking.
It is not right, it is never okay, you are always gambling unnecessarily, and not just with your own car/health/life. Why? Because you wanted a drink? If you think that's a valid response, get some help. -
Re:An open letter to Canada
We have the CAA, not the AAA, And the AA is British.
I think they are non-denomenational.

Re:They are not singing
You should really invest in a home breathalyser. That way, you can assess how much of a drunken stupor you're in before posting.

Re:Will Code For Beer
It's not really funny if you are an alcoholic.

Re:Congress To Open Hearings On Memory Championshihow much the *AA would panic if every song or movie you heard or saw was a permanent part
Why? Why would the Alcoholics Anonymous object about that? -
Yes, I would hire him. He's told you he's been convicted of a violent felony, so you know he's reasonably honest.
I know quite a few people like that who are gainfully employed. But then, I'm in aa. Lotsa weirdos around there...
