    Attachment size eh? Aventuremail offers 2GB of free storage as well as unlimited attachment size. So if that's your thing, go for it. Personally I think 1GB is enough and 10 MB attachments more then suffice, so i'm going to just stick with my g-mail account. Remember, it's not only size, it's also how you use it and g-mail uses it well!
    E-mail with a built in zip program would be cool but i have yet to find someone who doesn't have zip readely available.

    Some folks have already tried to outdo gmail/spymac et.al. on the 'bigger is better' kick. Aventuremail recently offered 2GB accounts for free (and still appear to if you go to their site), but they apparently bit off more than they could chew and are no longer accepting new registrations (though they will certainly let you try, for marketing purposes - if you try to sign up for one now, they'll take you through the whole process, then tell you you're more than welcome to a 3GB account for $22USD/year).

    I'm waiting to grab myself an address at GMail, though, and then... bye bye Hotmail!

    Try Spymac.com which allows anyone to signup for a free 1 gig account

    aventuremail.com also is in beta, but allows 2 gig online storage

    I tried to do the same thing with my AventureMail account but AventureMail wasn't cool with it. They deleted my account! You can check out what little data I collected before the account suspension and read the emails to and from AventureMail about the merits of the account suspension at http://3fingersalute.net/aventuremail
