Re:I switched to T-Mobile a few months ago
Any problems with the German support?

Re:finally??
Well, the only thing I miss in the Pi2 is an audio in connector, not the end of the world though since I can use an USB sound card instead.
What I have used it for so far is to set up an APRS digipeater/igate and as a controller for a radio repeater with subtone control.

Re:No...
And when Windows 8 comes companies are still struggling to migrate from XP.

Re:Really bad idea.
I have driven in rotaries in the US and I live in Sweden, however the rotaries that I have encountered in the US seems in general to have a bad design causing problems with visibility and coordination for the driver. But I hope that the newer ones are better designed. A good rotary design shall slow down incoming traffic and allow traffic to exit quickly. See THIS ROUGH SKETCH.
In Italy and Finland traffic in the rotary has to yield to incoming traffic, and that causes extreme constipation. And also danger when drivers from those countries tries to drive in rotaries in other countries.
However - rotaries aren't a perfect solution, they do have some disadvantages - like when the traffic situation is heavy. But they are a great replacement for 4-way stops and many traffic lights. And they are very low on maintenance compared to other solutions.
The worst problem with them is when you switch from driving on the right side to driving on the left side - like when you end up in the UK since you look in the wrong way.
And from a security point of view rotaries are relatively good - there are accidents happening in them too, but since the speed of the vehicles involved is low in general the accidents are mostly to the vehicles and personal injuries are relatively mild in most cases. (there are always exceptions).
In addition to them being practical they can be part of fun too when there is little other traffic around, but I doubt that everyone appreciates you having fun in the local rotary.

Re:I GOT A GREASED UP YODA DOLL SHOVED UP MY ASS
I would say that on an university area you can expect to find just about everything. So a clown on a unicycle isn't really strange.
Unusual would be if someone had put a live blue whale on the campus ground.
If students can get away with THIS, a clown on a unicycle is just another event in the day on campus.

Re:Heathrow
I grew up 100 yards from Eling Tide Mill - kayaked under the bridge and out to see in my home made kayak to make this vaguely geeky, and I now live in Winchester and never expected them to be mentioned on Slasdot.
Weird.
Anyway, there's also the excellent City Mill in Winchester and it's 59 minutes by train from Waterloo station (Eling is 70 minutes - get the train to Totton and then walk down Eling Lane). From a nerd perspective, the computer museum at Bletchley is worth a visit, and in London the V&A, British Museum, Tate Modern (good Warhole exihibits) are all good, and if you like engineering the pumping station at Greenwhich is interesting (honest). -
Re:Heathrow
Luggage is only lost at Terminal 5 at Heathrow.
And pray to some deity that you don't have to be involved with Air France.
That can make most other airlines seem friendly.
But don't worry too much - it's the UK, not a third world country you are going too. Just bring a warm pajamas since not all hotels are up to winter standard. And expect the faucets in the sinks to be single faucets and only provide warm or cold water, not mixed temperate water.
There are a lot of things that are a bit funny in England aside from the fact that they drive on the wrong side. But that's just making things more interesting.
Don't worry about the food - it's far better than the rumor has it.
Places to visit depends on where you go, but if you go south you can visit Winchester (old capital of England) and the Eling Tidal Mill (place suitable for geeks) outside Southampton.

Re:Just what I was looking for
A decently sized stone sculpture placed in the area that does show how it did look like before it fell down would be the best thing. A stone sculpture will blend into the environment in a good way.
A glass construction may be annoying too many people.
For those that never have been in that area I have a few photos to view too from last summer: http://www.bedug.com/?q=gallery&g2_itemId=2890

Re:Leave the rubble alone
Just be careful with what you do in the area. The view is really nice, as you can see in some images I have from last summer:

(Now I'm probably going to get slashdotted!
:-P ) -
Re:It says "Welcome to the Slashdot effect."
I have a copy, I converted it to a PNG, and I also have the JPG if you really think it helps, but you will have to change the suffix yourself!

Re:This is why you make sure...And in addition the sound must be played at maximum volume. Including the "TaDa" in Windows or some other classic clip; "Computer Standing By..."
But I think that "1 minute to auto-destruct" can be a bit too bad.
