Drop Milk
Just stop using cow's milk.
60% of the global population can't digest milk once they become adults.
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2009-08-30-lactose-intolerance_N.htmHealth researchers at Harvard have even come out and said cows milk isn't a necessary part of a healthy diet, it is something that is TOLERATED in a healthy diet if people don't get too much:
http://beforewisdom.com/blog/milkandbones/experts-lose-the-cows-milk/Some dairy foods can have as much or more cholesterol and saturated fat as meat.
There are substitute milks made out of almonds, rice, hemp or soy in many supermarkets now. You can use those or fortified orange juice to get plenty of calcium without the digestive stress or the many health, digestive issues of cows milk

They May Not Appreciate What They Have
I respect Fareed Zakaria of CNN, he seems to be one of the few journalists around these days who does not have an agenda. He is about presenting facts, no matter how flattering or not the facts are or where the facts fall.
In this short clip from his show Zakaria shows that the United States has been rated by international organizations as one of the MOST FRIENDLY PLACES TO DO BUSINESS in the WORLD.
The video also shows that the conservative meme of high taxes is not only false, but opposite of what is true. Taxes are at a historic low.
Zakaria blames the sluggish economy on
1. Long term neglect of the American infrastructure
2. Long term insufficient investments in education
3. Long term devaluation among people for saving moneyhttp://beforewisdom.com/blog/politics/zakaria-the-real-burden-on-the-u-s-economy/

The Real Burdeon On The U.S. Economy
This link goes to a video of award winning journalist Fareed Zakaria on what he thinks the real burdeon is on the U.S. Economy:
http://beforewisdom.com/blog/tag/fareed-zakaria/Zakaria say that despite repitition of the claims that the US has taxes and too many laws for business to navigate the facts don't bear this out. According to Zakaria taxes are the lowest on the wealthy since the 1950s and the U.S. has even been rated better than some East Asian countries for business friendly laws.
Zakaria claims that the real problem are 3 trends that have been going on for decads:
- no improvement, let along upkeep of infrastructure ( have to pay for those tax cuts somehow )
- reduced investment in education
- Americans saving less and using credit more

Re:Prices!
Here is a video of Fareed Zakaria talking about the points I mentioned in regards to the US economic slowdown

Want To Use Less Water? Do Meatless Mondays
The water to produce various food products: From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_water#Agricultural_products the production of 1 kg beef costs 15,500 L water the production of 1 kg broken rice costs 3,400 L water the production of 1 kg eggs costs 3,300 L water the production of 1 kg wheat costs 1,300 L water Google on "Meatless Monday", it is an international effort to get people to eat meatless for one day a week ( Monday ) to reduce pollution and other environmental problems. One day a week have cereal for breakfast, A PB & J and Banana sandwhich for lunch and a plate of pasta for dinner. I've seen various articles that doing ONLY meatless monday helps the environment more than being a pretentious "locavore" all week long. If you are interested in more information about the connection between good choices and the environment here are some short articles: http://beforewisdom.com/blog/environment/un-urges-global-move-to-meat-and-dairy-free-diet/ http://beforewisdom.com/blog/environment/go-greendrop-meat/

Also the death of *MOST* brick and mortar stores
I think eventually companies like Amazon may spell the doom of most ( not all ) brick and mortar stores, tech or not. It is much more convenient to order exactly what you want while sitting in your chair and have it delivered to your door. Probably a lot more eco-friendly too as your goods will be "car pooling" with the delivery man. Picking something up in person either means taking a chunk of your time on a weeknight or a weekend, assuming the store has what you want. The only motivator, if you are not into shopping for its own sake, is the price of gas versus the price of shipping. As gas prices change, something like an "odometer by money" could tip the balance in favor of just buying what you want online. Even supermarkets like Giant have delivery services, so they aren't immune unless someone is a gourmand who wants to inspect their food before s/he buys it.

Why I will not buy one.
Okay, I wouldn't buy one because they are butt-ugly, but even if the weren't I would buy one as they sell them in Europe by insulting Americans.
I am an American, but I am not my government or corporate America.

Re:Popeye should have ate turnip greeens
1 cup of cows milk has 300 mg of calcium, only 32% of which is absorbed, yielding 96 mg net.
1 cup of ordinary mustard greens, cooked, has 128 mg of calcium, 58% of which is absorbed, yielding 74 mg net. A negligible difference.
1 cup of chinese mustard greens, cooked, which you can get in almost any oriental grocery contains 424 mg of calcium, 40% of which is absorbed, yielding 170 mg net. Just short of twice the calcium you would get to keep from drinking one cup of cows milk.
As for taste, I would suggest finding a recipe book.
I didn't notice any citations for your claims. For mine, you can find the source at this URL:

Re:Be Green
When are people going to get that using "green" products is still producing consumer waste, and that if you want to truly make an impact, you need to ride your bike sometimes, or something!Like eating less meat.

Re:Hillary, anyone?
Do you feel better about Hillary Clinton being a Walmart Board member during the 90s when they earned their deserved anti-worker reputation?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wal-Mart#Governance
http://beforewisdom.com/blog/?p=276
Please do not take any offense.
If she didn't care about workers getting health care as Walmart Board Member Clinton, why do you think she will care about people like you getting health care if she is elected?
