I like hearing what the Filthy Critic has to say. Always gives me a good laugh and is usually right on the dot about movies;)

The theatre was only about 1/2 full and this was opening weekend. That was the first sign of suckness. Then, I saw that about 95% of the audience was under 16, and they were giggling a lot before the movie even started. Second clue to suckness. Then, all of the previews were for teen movies. That was the third sign of suckness. (Side note: There was a preview of American Pie 2, which looks like a jolly good teen movie. Not all teen movies suck, just most.)

The movie is full of modern music and it is just plain stupid. AC/DC, Queen, and so on, just as Katz said. I can't believe he didn't completely trash this movie! What is wrong with him. It sucked.

The jousting is boring. It is the same thing again and again. The sword fights are much worse than any Society for Creative Anachronism fight I have evr seen. My backyard light saber fights as a kid were better done. The fighting sucked! Don't see this movie expecting any reasonable fighting.

Don't see this movie as a favor to your girlfriend or wife, or friends. Don't see it is a way to burn off extra time on the weekend. Don't see it because you are drunk or high. Don't see it. Please don't see it. It sucked so bad that it isn't even worthy of a MST3000 lampoon. It wasn't stupid or funny or interesting. Avoid the sucking beyond sucking! Avoid it like the plague!

Talk about how bad a Knight's Tale is right here! Tell other people about how bad the movie was. Share your story about the sucking beyond sucking. Prevent others from suffering through this crap stick of a movie....

Bet they wouldn't dare invite the Filthy Critic" to one of their bullshit whoring pseudocritic sessions...

why does slashdot bother to review movies when a link from their site leads to a critic who already has reviewed the same film (and BONUS: that person is not Katz)

While I don't agree with everything that the Filthy Critic says, when it comes to "Unbreakable" he seems to have a much better grip on the movie. The Filthy Critic says "It's like a funeral we once had for a squirrel, way more somber, long and expensive than it needed to be."

As the Filthy Critic might say, I'm tired of being assraped by Hollywood. Sure, there are plenty of examples of older science fiction films and books that got the science wrong, but they were working with what they had at the time. There's just no fucking excuse for movies like M2M and Red Planet to get even the most basic science wrong.

I'm shocked that this movie got the ATGC DNA bases wrong. I've never studied or even read much about biology or genetics, but even I know what the bases are called.

For those of you who think scientific accuracy is "picky": would it have been much of a different movie if the makers had done a bit of basic research? Or if they had asked a high school science class, for that matter?

Somewhat on the topic of bashing hollywood...

One of my favorite review sites is The Filthy Critic. Go look through the archives and find the reviews that got one or two fingers, they are the best reads; I know everyone here would enjoy his Mission to Mars review from a while back :)

Thanks for sending me over to the Filthy Critic. I doubt that this page will replace Capalert as my favourite movie review site but I had a good laugh learning about filthys rating system.
