What a sad, frightened little man you must be.
I think you're going to have a problem getting the Muslims to the party. Christianity says we are to try to help more people become Christians. I'm pretty sure Judaism is the same. I think budists/hindu or more of the mind of let us practice in peace. Athiests and Agnostics just don't want someone's religion forced down their throats.
Muslims however have been told to kill the infidels. It could get bloody.
ALL of the religions you mention have BOTH the "happy-happy all men are brothers, god loves all, world is made of puppies and kittens and rainbows"-side AAAAND the "kill the infidel"-side.
Even Buddhism/Hinduism isn't immune to such nonsense - because people in general are a superstitious cowardly lot that cherry-picks religious texts for that which fits their personal agenda.
Which usually involves burning the "other guys" out of their homes, stealing their cattle and if possible raping their women.A TRULY religious person would be indistinguishable from a moral atheist - regardless of the flavor of the religion. Good luck finding those. Give my best to Diogenes.
Just the same - a religious radical fanatic would be indistinguishable from a sociopathic asshole. Also regardless of the flavor of the religion.Saying that only Muslims subscribe to the "kill the infidel" newsletter is... utterly fucking ignorant.
And the saddest thing is, considering your 4-digit ID, Slashdot being a rather intellectual playground and the world of information at your fingertips - you are obviously choosing to be purposefully ignorant and obtuse.
What sad, scared, pathetic little creature you must be. -
Puritan Americans will ruin it
They will subtract the nudity. NSFW. These were the best stills I could find. They look a lot better on the giant silver screen:

You can use C++ libraries from OCaml
You may want to check out OCaml. You can use C++ libraries from it using something like SWIG (and the libraries of other languages too, using something like Pycaml for Python, and there's an interface for Perl too).
Here's a nice comparisong of a ray tracer written in C++ and one written in Ocaml.
And here are many more comparisons and information on why OCaml is so great. :)
Oh, by the way, OCaml is much safer than C++, infinitely more elegant, faster to develop in and more readable. -
Re:Even when it's horribly outmoded...
Oh, come on...it took them 6 seasons to establish reliable contact with Earth, and they had a hell of a transmitter.
They contacted Starfleet in Season 4, actually. Probably because they were looking for a ratings boost. -
Re:Good...Oh, and by the way, some schmuck will find a way to blow up planes with or without data sharing, internment, shoot-to-kill policies, bloody-great walls, compulsory ID cards, razing villages, etc.
there is only one way to effectively win a war the following is how it was done in Oman
This is the UK equivalent of Vietnam in that the fight was against communist insurgents, the difference in the tactics employed by US and UK and the results could not be more glaring. Time and time again it has been shown that firepower is not what wins wars (fights yes) but brain power which earns you the support of the population.
Terrorist Etc can only be defeated if you remove there support, not by killing the son/daughter mother/father of a potential terrorist recruit

Re:The tyranny of momentum: why Ocaml is not popul
There's a nice compendium of qualitative comparisons of O'Caml to other languages (Java/C/C++/Ruby/etc) here

Re:An old saying...
As I recall, the author of the mantra in question is the cabaret poet, Boy George. It was from his lyric "The War Song."

Re:Now it's personalDepending on which survey you listen to (and there are many) one in three to one in five girls are molested before they are 18. Of those, one third are molested by their own father or someone in immediate authority (ie stepfather, uncle, etc).
So... given that the numbers pretty much speak for themselves, how can you NOT agree that if anyone is to be "tracked" or otherwise given "special treatment" in these cases it should NOT be parents of girls? I mean, if you are going to single anyone out, who better than those who have access to, and power in the lives of, the most frequent victims?
The local TV station ran a fearmongering "special report" on the evening news outlining all the "dangers children face." They had policemen hang out at playgrounds and filmed them coaxing young girls into a minivan while their terrified mothers looked on. They talked about the "online predators" that will lure your children into real life meetings and then kill them. They talked about all these terrible fates that await any child not held under it's mother's wing 24 hours a day - in short, they talked about all sorts of terrible fates that, according to the FBI's own numbers, only a tiny number of children meet with each year.
Of course, what they didn't mention - and what is rarely mentioned in typical propoganda like this - is the fact that tens of thousands of children are molested each year by their own parents, or by a relative, or by a "friend" close to the family (teacher, coach, counselor, babysitter, etc). There is no "typical" when it comes to people who fuck children, and those rapists hanging about in the bushes represent a tiny, tiny sliver of the greater problem. Psychological studies have also revealed that at least (or as much as) a third of the adults convicted of molesting children are not pedophiles, but simply sexual opportunists.
Consider the most violent extreme in this example: of the 2100 children killed in 1997, 40% of the killers identified were family members, 45% by someone known to the child - and a whopping 15% (slightly over 300) were killed by strangers. No, talking about the realities wouldn't do well at all because it would only make everyone much more aware that it's not "those people" doing these crimes, it's anyone you know and there's little way to tell until it's too late. Is your next door neighbor fucking his eight year old? How do you know? The trajic fact is that this witch hunt mentality does nothing at all to protect children and, in fact, only helps blind society at large to the truth; while "concerned parents" (sheep brainwashed by the evening news) go on worrying about the evil "pedophile" lurking in the bushes no one believes Mr. Johnson, the special ed. teacher next door would be fucking his little girl - he's just "not that type."

Re:Oh yea, the USA really sucks
In the US, it is ILLEGAL to put the military on the boarders, or to act as police except in emergencies
The Posse Commitatus Act is effectively dead and has been for years before 11th Sept 2001. The US border is highly militarised and the US military regularly kills US citizens while "helping" with law enforcement. For a particularly egregous case take that of Esequiel Hernandez an "18 year old high school sophomore" who was "shot and killed while tending goats on his own family's land" by US marines. Long before the "war on terror", the "war on drugs" destroyed all but the pretense of separation between the military and police in the US. In fact the given the presence of members of the British Special Air Service (SAS) Regiment at the seige of the Branch Dividian compound in Waco, Texas, even foreign military forces are now appear welcome in US law enforcement.

alternate meanings of swearwords
"Fancy a shag?"
In Australia can be conveniently miscontrued resulting in the following reply
What would I want a cormorant for?
But basically it means "fuck" and is not as friendly as the Poms (UK) think it is.
Likewise "nice ass" will get the comment: "What donkey? Where?"
And don't get me started on "fanny". Hint - Australian men do not have a fanny of their own. And women don't generally sit on theirs. The theme song for "the Nanny" was considered very crude here.
A pity there is no unix for wombat: eats, roots and leaves.
