    The 4.6 Notes client does work with Wine. It's not 100%, but it is enough for everyday use. I've used it and the only thing stopping me from using it all the time on linux instead of windows is a lack of memory on my linux machine.     In order to support web browsers as Notes clients, a lot of rendering must be done on the server - at the expense of all other users. For many installations which are running at peak capacity, this is a luxury that can't be afforded.

    The 4.x Win32 Notes client has been functional under wine for some time. Most functionality is there and the stability is pretty good too. The 991031 wine release only improves on this. Now I just have to find time to try the R5.x Notes client (which hasn't worked well with previous wine releases). See the Notes for Linux Resource Page Here for more info.

    I know, I know. I too would prefer a native Lotus Notes client for Linux, but meanwhile, check out this link.

    Summary: everything except integrated Web Browsing works.
