Re:Origin's games
Another game missing from that list is Times of Lore -- my entry into the wonderful world of Origin RPGs. It was available for DOS, NES, and (of course) C64.

Cryo game 1992
Does anyone else remember the great Atari/Amiga/DOS Dune adventure/strategy game by the French company Cryo from 1992? It was based partly on the book and partly on the Lynch film. I believe the same company tried again a year ago or so ago with "Frank Herbert's Dune", this time more based on the Sci-Fi channel mini-series. The reviews this time was more so-so.
The best thing about the original game was the atmosphere, helped along by the great soundtrack and the impressive architecture...
You can download the whole game here!

Re:Can you still get MOO and MOO2
The original Master of Orion is available as "abandonware" (old warez) from various sites. With a cursory search i found the Mac version at Abandonware France ("telecharger" then "cliquez ici") and the DOS version at Classic-Trash.

Re:Spectre
At one time, spectre was the Big Hype game of the year, available on both PC and Mac. Something about it's graphics.. dunno.
No, it's because it wasn't just called "Spectre". It was called "Spectre VR". VR? VR means Virtual Reality! I've got to buy that game!
You can probably snag a copy at Classic Trash if you've got an old PC that has DOS on it. Though WHY it doesn't have Linux and HAS something as old and crummy as DOS would be a good question to ask yourself...;)

AbandonwarezGeez, why don't game companies release the source to the old games too? id does a pretty good job. I remember Rise of the Triad was an awesome game!
Good stuff:- For old dos games, you might need Bochs
- Abandonware: Classic Trash

- theunderdogs.org, abandonware.universal.av7.net,
- arcade emulation: mame.net, mame.dk, mamefans.metropoliglobal.com
- To code new games that run on DOS/Win32/*nx/BeOS, use allegro.

Re:Open Source Space Quest 1 origanal.
Take a look at Class Trash PC. I'm not sure if they have your specific games but they have a lot of classic games available.
