Re:Which says what?
So what does it say about universities when fourteen year olds can get a degree?
Even more importantly, what does it say about universities when a person with Down Syndrome can get a degree.

Re:TSA Agents
But it is good to remember that, like everybody, they're only human.
No.
"Only human" is telling an off-color joke with your buddies in the lunch room. "Only human" is maybe getting a little drunk and disorderly at the bar on Friday night after a tough work week. Kidnapping your child and getting into a shoot-out with the cops is not "only human", nor is the behaviour of several other TSO's like this guy, this guy, this guy, or this guy. That's sub-human, and is proof that "We the People" have handed over WAY too much authority to these thugs in the airports. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? and all that. -
Re:In every train station? LOL
What's going to stop them ramming a truck into the train if they really want to?
As the SAT would say:
Train is to Truck as Truck is to
a. Automobile
b. Bicycle
c. Garbage can
d. Beer can
In my experience, the answer is d.
When my commuter train hit a traffic jam the day before Thanksgiving five years ago, about 12 vehicles, including a couple of light trucks, were involved. There was a lot of noise but the only thing I felt was the brakes being applied. I never felt any impact, and we went several blocks beyond the accident site before the train came to a complete stop. -
Re:Go for it
"sadly the truck driver lost his job due to the DUI, and his two children starved to death"
Or maybe he had suffered from a stroke or was diabetic and my call to the police got the emergency help he needed? We'll never know, but I'm glad I helped get him off the road that day, whatever the reason for the reckless driving. -
Re:Hopefully this will happen soon in the US...
there was no harm to an actual minor, no crime that took place in the creation
Except that really doesn't matter. Just look at some of the child predator stings operated by police.
They have a police officer pretending to be a minor, entice someone to go somewhere to have sex with a minor that doesn't exist.Nowhere is there even a minor, much less one that could get harmed.
Or the police officers could even pose as a mom.

Re:whole story?
Detroit was hit with 7 to 8 inches of snow on the 23rd.
You might want to factor that in.
Also they had planes sliding off runways, and they were showing baggage trucks sliding and stuck on the tarmac on television. -
Correction: Nader is on MI ballot
"This means he's off the ballot in 16 states: AZ, CA, GA, ID, IN, IL, MD, MI, MO, OK, OR, PA, NC, SC, TX and VA."
Nader failed to get on the Michigan ballot as a Reform candidate, but he succeeded as an independent.
In 2000, Al Gore won 51.3% of the Michigan vote, Bush won 46.1%, and Nader won 2%.

Re:What about these commentsOh yes, Bush made a _huge_ tactical error calling for that Dixie Chicks boycott. In fact...hold on a minute...he never did such a thing!
Actually that is exactly what he did, only the media chose to only report part of what he said.
In an interview with NBC's Tom Brokaw, Bush said "The Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind."
But, he added, that the Chicks "shouldn't have their feelings hurt just because some people don't want to buy their records when they speak out. You know, freedom is a two-way street."
Of course it is much easier to call people liars than to look up the quote on Google. Most of the mainstream media did not report the quote in full, not a great idea to publish stories that make Bush look a jerk when you want the FCC to allow you to create a monopoly - another story they have not been reporting on.

Nap in the office 'increases productivity'A German researcher is claiming 40 winks in the office can give more of a boost to the working day than a dozen cups of coffee.
His study found even a 20-minute doze could increase concentration and stamina enormously.
Professor Peter Wippermann says bosses should allow employees to take 'power naps' and also provide comfortable office furniture for a quick snooze.
Professor Wippermann, from the office research consultancy Trendburo, which is based in Hamburg, said a quick snooze in the office regenerates worn out body cells and improves the ability to think flexibly.
