Re:The CEO who thinks differently is a fool
Absolutely. But the economic version of natural selection still applies... if he doesn't do it, his company will tank and another will take over. So the choice is, "Do we push this problem onto the taxpayer or do we go bankrupt while someone else pushes it onto the taxpayer?"
Seems like an easy choice.
Yup. And the owners of many companies made the first choice. How 'bout we tax them for the burden they put on us?

"Behavior Detection"
I've often wondered why the TSA's "Behavioral Detection" crap can't detect thieves like Brown, Burton, Simmons, Defelis, Noukeo, Burley, German, Persad, Webb, Pepper, and Arato, or actual sex offenders like Sean Shanahan and Charles Henry Bennett, or complete suicidal whackjobs like Diego Gonzales who was an actual TSA BDO. Shouldn't his fellow BDOs have noticed... I don't know... something wrong?

Re:A non-partisan no-brainer
It's only a "gross violation" if you are forced to do it. There is an opt-out.
Yeah, and in some cases opting out means being ejected from the airport without being allowed to board your flight, and even threats of $10,000 civilian fines. Here are just a few recent reported incidents:
Woman Says She Was Cuffed And Booted From Airport For Questioning Body Scanners
Pregnant Traveler: TSA Screeners Bullied Me Into Full-Body Scan
Even pilots are being ejected from airports for refusing to submit to the scanners:
Pilot who refused body scan at Memphis International blasts TSA security
Sorry, but if even a pilot can't opt out of going through the scanners then either something is severely broken in the system or the whole opt-out argument is complete bunk.

Re:Scope
I should revise that. Longer term studies show recidivism rates as high as 94% (here).

VP spec is "full retard"
Nice save, not. He did a Palin maneuver. Give it up. It's OK. He's the vice president. It's an indoor job with no heavy lifting . At least he waited until after the election.
The mission of VP is to appear so completely stupid or insane that noone in their right mind would seek your elevation to Commander in Chief. He's doing fine converting his image from platform bulwark to insurance policy.
Should the unfortunate occur though, I would look first at the American business interests (MPAA, RIAA, BSA) who stand to gain from his ascension.

Here is another article to tide you over until the tech details are available again. It seems that they are centered around the roundup ready seeds.
