Re:Jesus Tap Dancing Christ...
I take it you haven't seen the latest generation of case mods.
Oh dear. Do I want to?
;-) I have way to vivid of an imagination.Cute overload had the best idea: http://cuteoverload.com/2010/04/01/new-cute-overload-ipad-app/
I would buy an iPad just for hat app if it existed and was sufficiently slick.

OMG PONIES!!!1! (was Re:Results and flash cookies)
If you know what sites every computer visits you could say, for example, that computers that visit Slashdot are unlikely to visit mypinkpony.com
There is, however, a very, very high correlation between Slashdot visits and cuteoverload.com on single-user computers over 3 years old. Not sure what that says about your thesis.

Fuck goatse, go to Cute Overload instead.

Re:Please stop
The best bit was the crosslink with cuteoverload.com and their reciprocal 'cute/scary IBM nerds' story.

Re:Problem seems to be with D-Link routers...
The general attitude of Slashdot is a collection of millions of bitter/mean people, who is thinks complaining about everything, will eventually make them right if something goes wrong.
You do realize that if you replace "Slashdot" with pretty much any other group of humans this side of Cute Overload (who have their own problems), it would still work?

Re:Anyone elseNot really give a shit about OOXML? I mean just reading the wikipedia page makes me sleepy. Countries are actually arguing over this? This has to be last on my list of things that need sorted out.
That's nice, dear. Why don't you go look at some nice kittens?
Now if you don't mind, those of us who do give a shit would like to discuss this latest development.

Re:people never learn
But that's not what he's suggesting. He's talking about cuting their internet service, which presumably means installing some sort of filter that changes all links in HTML documents served from within the US to those outside the US to point to cuteoverload.com. Probably banned under the Geneva convention, but that's nothing for the US to worry themselves over.

Re:Already doing this with my Wii
Heh. Youtube was one of the first things we ended up doing with the Wii browser. Nice to sit back and watch and browse the videos and the Wii plays them back quite well. I do happen to kvetch that of all places, wii.ign.com's videos do not work currently under the Wii browser (They need a later version of the flash plugin)
Certainly helpful since my love wanted to watch the videos, but her own computer was a bit antiquated to be up to date on all plug-ins and have the necessary horsepower.
Wii browsing can be a little hit or miss, and still has some bugs. (My Wii freezes trying to visit http://cuteoverload.com/ for instance) but works pretty well. Don't forget that the 2-button can fit pages into a cell-phone style single column mode which can work beautifully on long articles so you don't need to be scrolling side to side to read thing after zooming in on them.
And on the freezes, I did submit that as a bug/feedback to Nintendo. As to IGN, I just complained about that to them in their feedback. -
Cuteoverload
Cute overload.
Works for me. -
Porn overlay
The porn and gambling overlay is just stupid. How many people waste equal amounts of time on cute puppies, lip syncing asians, or shopping for deals? Porn and gambling just happen. Almost anybody's work computer has stumbled on a popup that shows Jessica Simpson or a Poker site. This is a really misleading study and snippet.

Uninspiring List Gives Me an Idea...
I found the Tunebuckle to be an interesting gimmick though it wasn't for sale where they claimed it was and a shop I *did* find selling the item offered the belt for $60. Not really an impulse buy. The gloves were not a bad idea, but with this week's temperatures Winter seems like a forgotten dream. Overall, though, the list seemed like it was simply trying to get linked to digg and slashdot, which it did.
Maybe I should talk my daughter into knitting a goofy hat to hold an iPod. I can see it now. The click wheel would be smack dab suspended over the forehead like a third eye. Post the plans on my blog, submit it to digg and slashdot and bam! My Google adsense might pull in more than 3 that day. It's so Web 2.0! Add pegasus wings on the side and I could even get cuteoverload to link to it.
I wonder if my daughter would do it for me if I promised her a new pony, I mean, iPod... -

You guys forgot to mention that Cute Overload won the People's Voice Webby.

Re:Time to Overload the Cute!
Actually cuteoverload is just a frame that leads to a typepad site. I'd say it's pretty safe from slashdotting but reloading the cuteoverload its getting slower.
