It is a controversial subject because of social discussions (separate from marxists seeing red when discussing innate mental characteristics).

(Your point is valid for another reason. It is not trivially a good thing to remove "unpopular" features like low intelligence from the gene pool since those features probably have other genetic effects that we might be poorer as humans if they are not in our societies. But if it was my child and I could select for higher intelligence, I would.)

In today's political climate, anti-white bigotry is all too common. The destruction of White culture is part of the ongoing agenda of the UN and Clintonistas. Let me offer a few examples. For instance, we have "black history month" but they won't let us have "white history month". The message is clear--only Negro history matters. Another example is the US Postal Service. Today they announced the "Black Heritage" series of postage stamps. Excuse me, but why isn't there a "White Heritage" postage stamp series too. Government statisticians inflate white crime rate by lumping Hispanic crime as part of the "white" statistics, while statistics kept for doling out special privileges to Hispanics are kept separately. Massive non-white immigration into predominately white nations is an ongoing genocide against the White Race. This is because the real minority group is the White Race which only accounts for about 10% of the world population. 90% of the world is non-white and it is important that to maintain real diversity that we protect the White Race.

There are several Civil Rights organizations working hard to protect the the Civil Rights of White People. FYI, here is a partial list:

I'm jealous of you. It appears that the world you live in is a much nicer place than the one I live in.

Perhaps you don't remember the early days of AIDS. It wasn't called "the gay cancer" because people thought it affected heterosexual and homosexual people alike. Perhaps you don't remember the rhetoric around the issue, where politicians and doctors and laypeople were saying that it only infected homosexuals. Perhaps you aren't aware of the fact that our government will fire you if you are in the military and admit to being gay. Perhaps you don't know anyone who had to hide his homosexuality because of the tremendous bigotry that is focused on homosexuals. Perhaps you hadn't heard of a young college student in Wyoming who was tied to a fencepost, beaten, and left to die just because he was gay. Perhaps you have never heard of gay-baiting... And perhaps you aren't aware that our government doesn't afford the same protection/status to gay couples as it does to heterosexual couples. It is quite possible, even, that you aren't aware that the conservative platform of "family values" is a platform that advocates for "traditional" family values...a very tightly defined concept based in 1)intolerance 2)heterosexuality 3)biblical justification. In fact, perhaps you live in some parallel utopian America where none of this has ever happened and intolerance and ignorance don't exist. All I know is that the world I live in is still very intolerant of alternative lifestyles. Instead trying to learn how to tolerate, people in my world prefer to marginalize people who are different. I wish I could trade worlds with you, but on the other hand I would rather not run away from the problems of my own.

Oh, you are probably already familiar with it, but just in case you havent bookmarked the page already, one conservative who constantly preaches hate (read such inspiring articles as "Whatever happened to eugenics," "Spittin Jesse Jackson," and more!) is David Duke. You obviously think I hate some people based not on what they have done, but on their race, sex, sexuality, or religion. I can understand why you'd think that. After all, I did praise Charlton Heston's speech to the Free Congress Foundation "in which he made inflammatory remarks regarding women, gays and lesbians, and African Americans; while at the same time trivializing the Holocaust." (according to this Violent Policy Center's article). In praising the speech, I am in very bad company (David Duke, Stormfront, etc.) so I should have expected their stink to rub off on me. However, if you think for a moment, you'll see that agreeing with someone on one point doesn't necessarily make you agree with them on another point unless the latter follows from the former. So the question is, does "I hate niggers" follow from "I like the Heston speech"?

No. It doesn't. Most people who are racist will probably like the speech, but being a racist isn't the only possible reason for liking the speech. Similarly, x=0 => sin(x)=0 but sin(x)=0 !=> x=0.
