Re:Border Control only?Unlike China, Brazil actually has a thriving world class aeronautical industry . I see in the business press how the Boeing and Airbus needs to watch out for the Chinese and I think , "Chinese?! The Brazilians are well on their way."
Although Brazil has quite a few social problems, they're well on their way to getting their shit to together and I'm thinking in the not too distant future, they'll be a very large power house in the World Economy. I may start taking Portuguese!

Re:The ignorant and SlashDot authorship...
The general sensation in Brazil is that we are known by our futebol, our samba and carnival, our giant man-eater screaming snake overlords (anacondas), our monkeys and our natural beauties (landscapes and women).
I might be missing something, but I've yet to see the name "Embraer" in any of these threads.

Aircraft?Mardi Gras? Nazi hideout? Amazon rainforest? Soccer?
One should add to that that Brazil has one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. Embraer started in 1969 as a federal government owned company and was privatized in 1994. Although they had some technology transfer contracts with foreign companies in the past, their current lineup of airplanes has been totally developed in Brazil. -

Re:The Wrights
Good for you, .nz and .br! Why didn't your guys start an aircraft industry there?
What about Embraer, or in portuguese?
A pretty successful company, too.
Do a little research before your posts. -
Re:Brazil
Lambada? There is no such thing here for more than a decade. You surely just know Brazil from B films.
Brazil has a strong defense industry, including Embraer the fourth largest aircraft company in the world. We develop and sell missiles, long range rockets, tanks, avionics, and so on. This is also basic knowledge of this country.
Finally, unfortunately there were 21 fatal victims, not only 16. -
Sorry...you're wrong..
Umm. That was a bad example. Just a quick search of the web will lead to several manufacturers that have just recently come into the airliner market. Check out Bombardier, Embraer, and Fairchild Dornier just to name a few. What happens when the big guys get complacent like Boeing and Airbus, the little guys poke their noses into a niche and run with it. All of these companies have the ability to compete with the big two...
The same will happen in the CPU market.
