Re:Download?
Bugger 'em. I have a spam email address. I now have the PDF.
http://www.filedropper.com/201...Open source it is, then.
I too missed the option to get it by HTML but I wanted the PDF. In order to get the PDF, it took like ten new tabs and fourteen button clicks to download it and then giving them my email address and awaiting the arrival of the email - which included tracking in the address, to a limited use download link.
I'm thinking they have a different view of open source than I have. I mean yeah, I guess, it's open - in that I can edit it and it's even free. However, the concept of sharing includes ease, not a bunch of hoops. I selected to not get any additional email from them - not checking any boxes. Lets see if they adhere to that request.

Re: To refine the question, with subquestions
It turns out, that is a
.txt file. No big deal. There's a rules and a settings backup. They are in this zip file:
http://www.filedropper.com/uma...I just made that one. It doesn't have that particular site in it.
;-) I did have to edit it to enable the scripting on that page. You are technically correct but making it sound harder than it is. You can use that file until you get your own going. Meaning, you'll just edit my file. You don't edit it personally or by hand. It is done by GUI. When you find a site that doesn't work, start clicking stuff. It changes colors to indicate that it is blocking stuff. There's green (go) and red (stop) and a few things to block or unblock.
It does have a learning curve. It is not too hard. It's like an old-school Windows firewall, software based, except it's just for your browser. One of the best things is that I can share the settings file. I've actually automated this (thus I never see it and had forgotten it is
.txt). I simply place it on a network share and have it grabbed and copied with a cron job. (Yes, I have nothing better to do. Retirement is awesome like that.)So, that should get you started. The rules are pretty straight forward. You can just use mine. They work well enough - edit as needed. The settings for sites is pretty straight forward but it takes some getting used to. Go ahead and use mine, that should give you the gist of it and a good leg-up. I've had that file for... Hmm... A while? I've been using it and migrating it for quite a while. I also have different preferences than you. So, you might want to take a peek. Often times, I've just decided to go for bare functionality - you may want to adjust that.
After you've loaded the file(s), just refresh this page. That'll give you a good example of what I've done - it works for me. If you've got any questions, I'll do what I can to help.

Re:Free copies of office
Actually what you describe works flawlessly for me. I know that getting styles right is complex, but my point is that it is eventually worth it, as you can restrict the document to those styles once ready (avoiding other people messing with formatting) and reuse the template time and again. Let me share and example: http://www.filedropper.com/generictemplate-nocover Word could actually improve a lot by separating style definition from content, and making the first one vastly easier and more accessible. Hope it helps
:-)What I describe works out of the box flawlessly with OpenOffice and LibreOffice, but requires modifications to Word Styles to make it work right? Sorry, I that doesn't cut it.
That said, I am now running into an issue with O/L Office Impress regarding sub-slideshows. In PowerPoint you just point the URL at your sub-slideshow and it just works - click on the link, and it returns when the sub-slideshow is done. Impress seems to get as far as doing 1 slide that way, but won't do multiple slides. A PITA for anyone doing major slideshows and wants to keep a common outline instead of duplicating outline slides. -

re: moron modded up +4 ..
"Foxconn can now act like there were no problems and ignore them just because the source used was a secondary source reported as a primary source".
Listen up you fucking moron, the man lied, there was no source, either primary or secondary.

Damn, forgot the link. http://www.filedropper.com/esquire-barcodes

Re:Transcript
This is the raw audio. It's not a commercial -- just the voiceover for what can be assembled and edited into a commercial
Good point - and it's encouraged! So here's my very quick stab at it:

Re:Sounds Familiar...
Does anyone have a WAV file of that audio clip? I uploaded a whole collection of mine (LCARS) related to exit, shutdown, etc.
