Fox And Universal Say Goodbye To Halo Movie
Master_of_Tumbleweeds writes "20th Century and Universal Pictures, the two studios that agreed to co-finance the film adaptation of Microsoft's Halo video game, have abruptly pulled out of the project. This leaves executive producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh without financing or distribution. A ballooning budget (rumored to have been closing in on the $200 Mil mark) and apparent lack of confidence in rookie feature film director Neill Blomkamp are being named the major culprits for Fox and Universal's decision." -
Episode III Deleted Scenes Leaked Online
Master_of_Tumbleweeds writes "Like the previous Prequels' arrivals on DVD, Revenge of the Sith will have several deleted scenes included when it's released next month. We now have a sneak peak (thanks to various online spies like the infamous Darth Psychotic) at a couple of these sequences, one that depicts General Grievous actually dispatching a Jedi Knight (something we didn't even see in the theatrical release) and Yoda's arrival at the swamp planet of Dagobah. Episode III comes out on DVD November 1st" -

Star Wars 3D And TV
Master_of_Tumbleweeds writes "Rick McCallum, co-producer of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, appeared at a press conference in Japan earlier today. He spoke about the future of Star Wars, specifically about the 3D updates of all six films and the upcoming TV series. McCallum said that the 3D films would be released within two to three years, and that the TV shows would take place during the 20 year time period between Episode III and IV. He also mentioned that one of the shows would follow the adventures of a young Luke Skywalker, and reveal how certain characters ended up together. The show starts production next year." -

The three spots are shorter than the longer trailer that has been seen earlier, and a little bit more pop action than the dark trailer that gave me hope. Anyway, here is Spot 1, Spot 2, and Spot 3. -

Revenge of the Sith Officially Rated PG-13

However, for the first time ever a Star Wars film will be officially rated PG-13. Over the weekend the Daily Herald newspaper confirmed that George Lucas' conclusion to his nearly 30 year epic Space Opera received a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association of America. The MPAA is expected to release an official statement or press release sometime this week." This confirms the rumor we reported on back in March. -
