Re:Thank you LG!
Like they haven't thought of that.
It will come with instructions that point out that it will be crippled unless you can get it hooked up to the Internet.
For reference, see this:
A website is telling me to disable AdBlock before it will show content.
Worse it will come with a lifetime cellular network connection and you cannot opt out, even by not connecting it to a router.

And I tell them to fuck off. Sites like Forbes need so very badly to go out of business. DEmanding that IO install malware on my computer in order to have teh life changing experience of reading their mediocre articles. Sorry, Forbes and all of you other cancers on the face of the earth, you need me to see your for shit ads more than I ever need to see your articles, and your password changing malware.
My Appliances need to do th ework they were designed to do, to use energy efficiently, and not serve me ads or provide a cash flow for McAffee anti virus for refrigerators.

Re:interesting
Well, our source code is available so you can check that we do not monitor what you do with your privacy
:). But if you don't like Privacy Badger, try Disconnect, ublock, AdAway, AdBlock or Adblock Plus(though you'll need to manually subscribe to Easy Privacy for AB and ABP)! -
Re:Two different products
Actually AdBlock is not necessarily good, especially if you use OWA. It inserts NSFW text into the body of emails when using Safari which then gets blocked by Spam filters. AdBlock has finally owned up to the problem almost a year later.

Re:We're all really screwed if...
Oh come on! For the last time, there are two major extensions called "AdBlock". This one is the good one. This is the one you're talking about which accepts payment to skip being "blocked". It's so shitty it's not even worth being talked about. Just skip it and get the first one. I haven't seen an ad in years.
