Giant Robot... in space!
I'm so disappointed. I thought they were planning to put Giant Robot into space -- maybe a gigantic billboard of something like this. Just imagine the kawaii damage!

Re:Who else to trust?
I've taken part in plenty of consumer surveys. It's a quick way to earn some cash. If I answer truthfully I'm usually not chosen. I think lying goes into both sides. You say Gallup weeds out questions to make them unbiased, and the 20+ surveys I've taken work that way, but the people taking the surveys are chosen according to sponsors.
One examples: "We'll offer you $60 to show up and take the 45 minute survey. What radion stations do you listen to?" If I answer KDVS, the local college station they say, "Sorry, that doesn't qualify. Do you ever listen to one of the "major" area stations?" and they tell you an acceptable answer. That one gets the money, and people learn to answer questions in a way that gets you money.
You don't drink Pabst, you drink Budweiser. You don't ride a 1968 Monkey Wards (Benelli) motorcycle, you drive a 1998 Honda Accord. You don't subscribe to Giant Robot, it's Sports Illustrated. I know lots of people that answer these surveys the same way. -

Blade Rrunner and Giant Robots
Over the past few years all things Asian have been building up popularity here in L.A. As witnessed by the growth of such new magazines as "Giant Robot". Perhaps we're moving towards Blade Runner world.
I for one am all for it. The Asian design since from Hong Kong and Japan is quite good, and it's time for them to stop regurgitating western culture and come into there own. There also seems to be a ground swell of radical art coming out of Japan. I read this as retaliation against a conformist culture. It's very exciting, I think we are in for ride the equivalent of America in the 60s.

Re:Heathens
Open your eyes people! I could go on and on.
Please do! I tried to take your lead, and find out more information on Google, but all I came up with was Giant Robots, Giant Squids, and The Jolly Green Giant, who, incidentally, lives in Blue Earth MN, the birthplace of the ice cream sandwich. So if you would be so kind, and provide some links to these giants of which you speak, I would be much obliged.
