Apparently you've never actually driven a $200,000+ sportscar, as they're not the kind of thing you want to drive "to work every day". Unless your commute involves empty (congestion-free and idiot-less) roads, and a secure garage at the other end, then it's more stress than it's worth, which is half the reason most owners of such vehicles will drive a normal/average car for day-to-day transport.
Comparing Konqueror to a Ferrari is fairly dubious too... Maybe an Acme kit-car would be closer?
It's startling to change to a US TV channel (up here in Canada) and get bombarded with medical ads and their (almost 50%?) rapid-fire disclaimers.
I get hypochondriac sensations every time I witness one - having a list of symptoms yelled at me every 7 minutes is seriously weird!.
All we seem to get ads for, on our national channels, is viagra and cialis, disclaimer-speech-free (text at the bottom I think). Generally less-attention snatching volume levels in most commercials, too.
I'm sad this didn't work. Perhaps this might be right? I think the graph still needs to be converted to binary. Or something. >.>

Yes, they really do advertise it as "$1.99 per month, billed annually". http://bethblog.com/index.php/2010/08/06/id-introduces-two-quake-live-subcription-packages/ So 12 months or nothing, buster.

See http://tv.boingboing.net/2008/03/12/goobees-animated-can.html which gets interrupted halfway through, completely ruining a short animation. idiots. what a hateful way to treat content.
Zonk is the one who keeps posting them; the last 5 stories about dvorak were courtesy of him. Why Zonk, why?
Why does Slashdot continue to post them? That's what I want to know. We universally lambaste them every time.
Zonk posted the last 3 of them: this one, The Downsides of Software as Service and Web 2.0 Bubble May Be Worst Burst Yet.
Zonk?

Yes and yes. Street Fighter 2 was the peak, and remains the archetype of the genre. Arguably the best, but absolutely the defining example.
Talking of the Bullfrog era, how about Bitmap Brothers? I'm still hoping for Speedball Arena.
I'll also add my voice to the requests for Descent and Dungeon Keeper.
The rest of my gaming memories are best left to the haze, as I discover each time I try MAME or abandonware...
