Slides from AMD's Presentation
Send a big cheer to Rufus at Aces Hardware for grabbing all of the presentation slides.
Worth reading IMO.

Re:Cache coherency?
There is no FSB and the memory is LOCAL to the processor. How would this maintain coherency? The Athlon64 processors also don't allow cHT. Not that they don't physically have support for it, just it's been disabled.
Given where I work, and that I've never heard of this before today... I suspect it's a hoax.
The only way this would work is if the OS was aware of it and manually routed data from one node to another (e.g. like a northbridge DMA device you can pipe info to).
AMD's own slides from the 2006 analyst's presentation backup this information. If you look at the slides, it is pretty clear that AMD has enabled one ccHT link on some of the Athlon 64 X2 series. _slides_ -
This made me smile...

As the site's dead and mirrordot hasn't pulled a copy of it, I managed to mirror it:

I think the new logo looks quite nice. Very simple and stylish. Since the site is somewhat slow loading, I threw up a mirror including the large versions.

Here's how to get 2 psx pads on lpt
I made the directpad pro hookup for 2 psx pads on the lpt port a few years back and have been happy with em. Unfortunately, only 1 works in linux which I was disappointed with.
But recently I found this link of someone who has patched the kernel for 2 controllers. As an added bonus it solved my slow down issues that I have been getting with my psx pad since 2.4.20. Slightly OT, but the slow downs always bugged me and looking at gamecon.c nothing changed between those kernels so it's something else but I could never figure out what even playing with PSX_DELAY value to no end.
Here's the link. http://rufus.hackish.org/wiki/gamecon/ -
