Re:Wow
There are many reasons to impeach Obama, or Bush, or Clinton, or HW Bush...
I guess a presidency without impeachable crimes is too much to ask.

Re: Surveys and impeaching tyrants
If you want to impeach Bush for having a 30% approval rating,
That wasn't said. People want to impeach Bush because he has shat on the Constitution, and is an acknowledged torturer and war criminal.
you'll need to impeach the democratic legislature as well.
Great! Where do I sign up? I think they ought to try every single Congressperson who voted for our most recent war of aggression -- every Congressperson who voted for Bush's insane war against Iraq ought to get a fair trial in front of the world at The Hague.
And cite a serious poll from a legitimate source indicating that the majority of Americans think that Bush has committed impeachable offenses.
Good point. But the American people are way out in front of the corporate mass media and the political classes on this one.
Even back in 2001, Zogby Int'l -- as mainstream of a polling company as you'll get -- found that half of Americans think the US gov't was somehow involved in 9/11 and 1/3 wanted impeachment. But the corporate news shows instead feed us stories of Brittany Spears and mall gunmen.
In a leap of logic, this article notes that a majority of Americans want Bush impeached if he wiretapped Americans illegally -- well, like his recent lying about Iran, Bush admitted to illegally wiretapping American citizens.
Any search of news engines will turn up many articles. Here is one American Research Group poll results, which states, "70% of American voters believe Dick Cheney has abused his powers as Vice President, and 43% definitely want him impeached. 64% say George Bush has abused his powers as President, and 34% definitely want him impeached." Or this article which summarizes: As far back at October, 2005, an Ipsos Public Affairs poll found 50% of the public agreed with the statement, "If President Bush did not tell the truth about his reaons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider holding him accountable by impeaching him."
Abuse of power; lying to the American people -- these are impeachable offenses and much more of the public want Bush impeached as compared to Clinton or even Nixon.
Lets' summarize: Russia shouldn't cheat at elections -- if they are.
But the US shouldn't cheat at elections either. And given the sad state of our present so-called democracy, we are not a country with the moral right to point fingers and scold anyone else. -
Re:Open to all
Maybe it could be equipped with a gatlin-gun style rubber band shooter. Or cold water squirt gun. Fly it over the beach and squirt the sunbathers! Liberty is paramount. Go ahead with it, maybe in a few years we will need it to protect us from our own government here in the US. I'm voting for Ron Paul. It's time we remove our military presence from the Middle East and other places abroad. It is our meddeling in middle eastern affairs that is the cause of the 9/11 attacks. It is our continued presence that is doing little more than grow the recruiting rosters of Alcaida. Of course that's good for military companies like Haliburten (spellingn?). http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ And if you're impatient for the next election like I am, visit http://www.impeachbush.org/ to bring an end to George's Un-Constitutional behavior. My little Ron Paul Page is here: http://www.dcresearch.com/ronpaul Join the Revolution!

The Administration is Seeking to Legitimize It's
Own Criminal Acts.
Hamdi v Rumsfeld calls for a need for 'Military Tribunals' so as to ensure that when they 'goof' it's under strictest cover, and no-one will ever know what happened.
Is it any accident the CIA is CIA (Covering Its Ass)?
Gonzales is looking to legitimize the fact that the
.gov has already been caught with it's hands in the til...
The abuses of The Constitution are being watched by everyone, everywhere. What was once the beacon of hope and bastion of freedom for the whole world is being trashed by criminals and oligarchs who seek to douse its light once and for all. The abuses against the American public must be arrested at the earliest possible juncture.
The truly frightening thing is that you can't even trust your democratic process anymore. So who's the terrorist? Where does he live?
Even Republicans can't deny the fact that it's getting out of hand.
Just today: On Tuesday, President Bush said, "Freedom, by its nature, cannot be imposed -- it must be chosen. From Beirut to Baghdad , people are making the choice for freedom.
Some choice.

what is bravery?
The entire nam war was one big my lai, it was based on high elected official lies, backed by military "leaders", the alleged tonkin gulf attack which didn't happen. The current iraq war is another case, based 100% on lies-saddam-no attack on NYC,no ties to al queda, no WMD of note, etc. All lies, known about in advance. Every guy there right now is not following his oath, if he took one and is aware of the situation now. And every member in Congress who is not right this second working towards impeachment of the high level end-times crusader whackjob creeps who are pushing this current disaster are *also* violating their oaths. The full senate report was issued last week. With absolutely no ambiguity it says the whole deal is one big fat lie. So? Where next? It's just a "war" just mass screaming death and misery and insane profits for the globalists. Where are those oaths now?
One guy is at least trying, he actually takes his oath seriously, and can *read*. He knows he has been lied to, so, he acted according to his oath. And as expected the career oath breaking dotmil crud are trying to break him.
Nuremberg, just following orders is no excuse
Before it is too late, before they pull off another reichstagg fire phony terror attack
Don't think this will save the situation, it has just made it worse, yet people for some mysterious reason still think this will work.
No, it won't work. The system is broken. Until those demons are in prison and the whole system is cleansed of the filth, it will just keep getting worse. -
Re:There's your answer:
If there was a vote for impeachment that the public could vote in, I would vote.
Fortunatly, there is(sort of). It's a petition to try and make congress act. Technically not a vote, but congress can't ignore 729,455 signatures. Or maybe they can... -
Re:There's your answer:
How is it fortunate? Even the right side of the isle is starting to leave support for this president in droves. Illegal wiretapping, two (that's right, two) botched wars (the Taliban just took back two towns in Afganistan), extreme secrecy, Vallery Plame, calling for the State Secrets privledge across the board, botched operations after Katrina, Scooter Libby, Carl Rove, prosecution of reporters, prosecution of private citizens under the Espionage act, Free Speech zones, Halliburton, $7 trillion national debt, between $200-$400 billion spent in Iraq against estimates of $8B, depletion of the National Guard, NSA blanket collection of phone records, NSA collection of airline records, secret laws that dictate conduct at airports, secret laws that you are governed by but CANNOT READ. The tip of the iceberg.
And now the ability to squash investigations against himself. It's like killing someone and then having the power to say "um, no - you can't investigate me".
This presidency is perhaps the worst in the HISTORY of the United States. Its abuses of power, power grab, secrecy, and corruption know no bounds. The president has lost the support of all but the most extreme NWO right wing. Clinton was impeached for "lying" to the public, but Bush has been involved in every scandal listed above, and sits atop his throne with pure immunity against the checks and balances of this country.
Never before have I come to expect to learn of some new executive branch abuse on a daily basis.
Besides, over 700,000 people already HAVE voted to impeach him, as useless as this website may be.
Bush and his yes men have moved the right further left than it has ever been. Right and left have reversed roles in the 20 years since Regan. It's almost impossible to grasp the sheer size, power, secrecy, and surveilance of citizens of and by the federal government at this point in time.
This presidency is a farce, and I shudder when I think that 2.5 years remain. -

Re:This is so Funny
Indeed. Here is a site I would recommend, even while it may not accomplish any goals, other than getting the word out that there are like-minded people, and we SHOULD impeach this president.
This president has gotten away with some terribly henious things, and really hasn't accounted for ANY of them.
President Clinton was impeached, and I sincerely doubt that there were half as many people who were really upset about what he did with Lewinsky as who care about what Bush is doing. Yet he keeps on slithering away and things keep deteriorating.
Even if you voted for him the SECOND time, you have to admit that we're losing our freedoms rather quickly, and even when people like this former NSA 'employee' are standing up and trying to slap us in the face and get our attention. I commend this man for his bravery at standing up and displaying anger and disgust publicly. This is what I call patriotic.
I've noticed a rather alarming trend among other websites I've seen carry this story. A large number of the editorials are questioning the legality of the infringement of our constitutional rights. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't believe I need to be one to know that there is definately something wrong with this whole situation. If it is "legal" we need to have the supreme court take a closer look, and if that produces nothing, have congress rewrite the laws. Now if in fact, by some bizarre reinterpretation of the constitution this is justified as legal for this to BE taking place - as I'm pretty sure they're not pulling the plug on this one just because someone blew a little whistle - there are still plenty of other impeachable .
Just my $1.02 -
Re:I wonder what these are for?
I'm pretty much there with you.
There is no way that President Bush would ask, say, the NSA to do anything illegal is there?
And, although there may be a few renegades, there isn't much of official Washington that would use secrets for political gain.
But then there is the press which has recently developed some badly misplaced priorities, actively supporting and publicizing leaks of sensitive ongoing intelligence and military operations against the enemy over and over again. You would think it would be easy to understand that this harms our national security, yet much of the mainstream media passes over the issue in silence. On the other hand, they have endless energy and interest in a kerfuffle involving no crime.
Maybe the media will start taking the war more seriously if Al Qaeda makes significant progress in their announced goal of killing four million Americans. Or maybe not. If there are more successful large scale terrorist attacks in the United States, aided by the media's disclosure of on-going military and intelligence operations, I expect that the majority of the media won't engage in self-examination, but will rather most likely start banging the drums from the fever swamp. The fever swamp runs deep, and support for the President among the media is thin.
Well, if the other party gains power, maybe things will change... or maybe not.
Thank goodness we are a country where you can still engage in dissent against the mainstream. -
Re:Does anyone else think?
Impeach Bush seems to have a lot of reasons to impeach him.
Including:
6) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community.
7) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."
So I think part of 7 they might mean signing the US Patriot act.
