Re:List of XUL Applications?Oh Really? Well, then, someone should tell this guy that his theme isn't supposed to work. Or how about the guy who did the Firefox theme?
The themes that I create try to use as many native widgets from the operating system as possible.
I'm trying to tell you, the Mozilla platform allows both types of widgets. The bindings are there. If you don't believe me, go read the XPCom and XBL source code. They link off to native components when available. I don't know what your tools are telling you, but they're wrong. -

Re:The Noobie Argument
Then they should be denied use of a computer, or at least the Internet. We almost need a license to use the Internet, much like a license to drive a car. An incompetent user COSTS OTHER PEOPLE MONEY. From the spam to the viruses they're sending out, they're doing real harm to others. Just a few quick questions that ISPs could ask before allowing you to sign up. Ask what web browser they plan on using. Answers of "Internet Explorer" or "What's a web browser?" or "I don't know, my son just set it to use the Google." would raise a red flag, and too many idiot answers and service is denied, or add a few dollars tax on their bill. I know, I know it's unenforceable and what ISP would turn down a customer, but SOMETHING needs to be done. We can't trick people into being more secure for ever.

Re:Why isnt there an IE skin?
Here it is.
I've used it many times. Switch the icon for Firefox to IE. Install Luna. Done. -

Re:IE
There is a luna theme availible, but it doesn't appear to be maintained anymore. It breaks some features in Firefox 0.8, but if the IE look is all you care about, there you are.

Re:I like the simple but expandable model
Most people switched to Tabbrowser Preferences over TBE when these problems arose.

Re:Some people just don't like tabs!!I use Mozilla, and you'll pry it out of my cold dead hands. But I don't use tabs, and don't see what all the fuss is about, it just adds an extra bar with its own sub windows, I'd rather just have 2-5 mozilla windows open. It appears to me that tabs simply mean I may have to move my mouse twice as far, or use two different keyboard shortcuts (or switch using both keyboard and mouse)
Tabbed browsing is great once you configure it -- with Firebird, that means either the Tab Preferences or Tab Browser extensions. I use the latter, and it lets me do all sorts of things not possible by opening new windows.
- New tabs open by middle-clicking a link instead of going through the context menu for a new window.
- Focus shifts to a tab simply by hovering on it.
- Firebird can automatically group tabs by their relation to each other.
- I can close tabs in groups as opposed to shutting down each window individually.
- I can set tabs to reload regularly. (Frex, I keep Google News open all day and have it reload every ten minutes, so whenever I look at it, it's up to date.)
- I can save tab sessions, so (A) I can call up the pages I was looking at right before I went to bed last night, and (B) I can use it as a super-bookmark -- when I get up in the morning, I just pull up my news tabs and the Washington Post, NY Times, Slate, and MSNBC open.

Re:This will help a lot.
I can't count the number of times I've absent-mindedly clicked on the closing X in the window bar as opposed to the lower X for the tabs...
There is a tabbed browsing plugin somewhere (this might be it--this might also be it) that allows for all open tabs to be saved on crash (and exit?). That might be better than only having a increasingly-annoying dialog asking if you want to close the window and all child tabs.
